multiple years of being an mod/admin in an online community made up almost exclusively of people who adamantly do stupid shit and have bad opinions has inflated your ego to an insane degree. in that community, the stuff you didn't like was bad, so now, both in online convos outside that community AND IN REAL LIFE, you have become conditioned into thinking "opinion i don't like at first glance=ontologically bad" and immediately discounting it and severely judging the person who said it and not giving them any second/third chance. you think almost everyone who isnt you, especially people you don't personally like, are pathetic and stupid. even the people you do like, you subconsciously think of as lesser than yourself. it is incredibly rare for someone to have the "privelage" of your respect. if you continue on this path and do nothing to change it, you will become more and more stubborn until you quite literally cannot function in the world. you will justify this by claiming that it is the world's problem, not yours, and that in your perfect anarcho-communist-socialist-whatever utopia, you would live in perfect harmony with people on the same intellectual level as yourself (and who have the exact same views and opinions as you) and not do anything you deemed to be not worth your time.

you are generally nice right now, but you have become so so used to disparaging others (to their face or otherwise) and if you don't stop and critically reexamine your worldview you will become an incredibly mean person. and i don't want you to be that because i deeply care about you.
