fun fact about me:

while i use arcadekitten characters in some posts and memes, i actually have the same opinion on them as I do the fnaf games: they have good potential but the writing just sucks.

the only game by ak i ever really thought was 85% good was It's Not Me, It's My Basement(aka, the only ak game most people know about since manlybadasshero and alpha beta gamer played it). Cemetery Mary is miserable to sit through, Holiday Shopping exists and adds nothing despite being a prequel to CM, Blackout Hospital is just more of the same miserable experience with shitty rpg combat thrown in, Crowscare is okay but not entertaining enough to be worth revisiting, Tricks N Treats is just forgettable alongside Semiaquatic Circus, Here For Sweethearts just feels like a character showcase with a 'story' tacked on, same goes for One Girl's Trash, My Neighbor Enide, and Fia's Night Out. Then there's Sweet NO Death which feels like it should've just been a visual novel with how dialogue heavy it is and how little point there is to really explore. It to was also just okay.

My Wishmaker is shaping up to be more of AK romanticizing abuse and murder. "Reginald is nuanced!" He's as shallow as a puddle, AK. We barely know enough about him, and what we do know is unreliable at best with the whole multiverse thing going on. You can go and ship him with Mary all you want, it's not going to make me forget that he has abused and physically assaulted her on numerous occasions in your own games.

it's not easy critiquing these games since i've seen what the fanbase does to anyone who dares say anything even slightly constructive or critical.

anyway, uh, dr. d. light is cool, i guess. may he rest in pineapple.

also for the love of god, don't fucking scream at me about my thoughts and views on AK's work, i'm allowed to have an opinion on something. if you don't like it, just block me and leave me alone.

edit: also don’t take this as me hating on Ak herself, ok? She’s probably a decent person, albeit a little questionable in certain writing decisions surrounding Mareggie.
