I think the movie was just beautifully done. The film was very captivating and moving. The movie shows how Mercury’s assistant Paul influenced his decisions and brought him on the wrong track and took him away from his family, friends and the people that loved him. One of the most magnificent and touching scenes of the film was when he tells his bandmates that he had acquired the deadly and destructive disease of AIDS and he was unfortunately one of the first few people to acquire that particular disease so there really wasn’t any cure for it. Despite that, it didn’t pull the man down and put him into depression. Instead he said that he didn’t want to be a ‘poster boy for the disease’. He spent the remainder of his days only making music because that was what he was born to be; a performer. This was made and makes him a legend. Even to this day.

After Freddie Mercury had passed away, his fans were in tears and the whole world was in a state of shock at the death of the legend. Even at the peak of his fame and glory, he never ever forgot about his parents. Sources say that whenever he used to meet his parents, he always used to dress well and arrive at his parents’ house in a Rolls Royce. This shows how much he loved his family, so much that he never forgot about them in all his glory and fortune. However, his parents came to know about his sexuality really late. In the Zoroastrian faith that his parents used to practice, being bisexual/gay was a mortal sin and could not be forgiven. But his parents were very accepting of his choices and did not prevent him in any way from his sexual interests.

This movie has been rated an 8.1/10 and PG13 by IMDb. It was a major Box Office success and a hit worldwide. There were many bold scenes that Rami had to perform in which he had to portray Freddie’s sexuality. Despite being straight, Rami portrays the legend beautifully. The movie was released on 24th October 2018. A cameo appearance of actor and comedian Mike Myers was done in the form of a fictional character as ‘Ray Foster’, a major giant in the music industry at that particular period of time.
I believe this movie is a must watch as this biographical film tops my movie list of the year 2018.
 Until next time,
Adiós!
