It just takes two years of "I'll do it later"-s before I finally do it. :3c
#rae rants#except for the base color and flooring tile i did everything today. i was supposed to have it done by xmas 2021... ehehe~#well. i want to start a new project. but i wanted to finish one first. so i ended up spending 7hrs or so doing this today.#also i learned my dollar store xacto works better than my actual honest to god xacto knives.#this is for my mom. she got like 7 birdhouses for xmas in 2020 and promptly handed them over for me to paint. this was the last one!#just need to weatherproof this and the other one in the garage (didnt go right the first time) and im all done yayyy#... with that project for her. i have one more to finish but i cant draw roses so i have to find stencils. but thats all there.#and then. i can start making miniatures for my niece.#... tbf my wrists were hurting too much to make minis today but not enough to hold back my creative impulse.#oh. also the shingles had been painted black and the cross painted white. but i had to repaint the stencils for the white outline.#and i used more shingles than i was expecting per side too. so i had to paint more today before glueing them down.
