do you think severus was so locked in on potions at one point, that he came up with new potions recipes in his sleep, because they came to him in his dreams? 😭

I totally can imagine him having potions ideas or theories in the middle of the night, waking up and writing them down, and then trying to decipher what the fuck did he mean the next morning. He'd write absolutely unintelligible stuff like "rt. spleen 3? chop/grind ⅔ min DON'T PEEL OFF. 5 cntr. clockwise 10-15 int. till pink!!!". He'd also draw some kind of visuals to convey the point better, and that'd be even worse.
