Do you like severitus? Do you have any severitus fics recommendations?

I don't like Severitus much:( First of all, I personally am just not very interested in parental dynamics and kids-centric fics cause I am indifferent to children. In the few of those I read some time ago, I didn't really like how Severus' traumatic reaction to Harry wasn't adressed, and how he was forced into the position of a responsible adult without any space for his feelings or even actual consent from his side, because honestly, being a single parent for your abuser's child as a young adult with mental health problems and a job to do totally sounds like my boggart. Not saying all the Severitus fics are like this, that's just the impression I've got. For me, Sev handling it gracefully is unrealistic, Sev handling it ungracefully is traumatic to both, and I just don't think him carrying all this is fair. So unfortunately I can't offer any names, but maybe people who do like that trope can share♡

Two times I've posted about how reading Snape's worst memory makes me physically ill and unable to sleep. Both times I got people in the comments saying he deserved it. What is it about "this event makes me physically ill" makes people think I'm absolutely fit to hear about how horrible Severus was and how much he deserves it?

No, tell me how it makes any sense to go to a person obviously in emotional turmoil and compound it by saying, 'Hey, you know this guy you feel bad for? He deserved everything that happened to him. Hey, you know the sexual harassment you read about? He brought it on himself.'

What the fuck? Have people lost all empathy? All sense? Do I need to spell it out? I feel like I'm breaking and I don't want to discuss whether public humiliation and sexual assault are deserved.

If you consider yourself a Snape fan, and you are more condemning to him than Harry "№1 Snape's hater" Potter in terms of morality of his actions and evaluation of his motives, if you are willing to grant him less compassion, if you approach the way he looks with more disparagement and disdain, if you casually insult him in ways even Harry never managed to find enough hostility for – you might want to rethink your approach, really.
