Honestly the best writing advice I've ever seen and hold dear to my heart are "said is a valid word" and "just say their name twice I promise it's okay"

#especially the second one #it reads so much easier when you just say someone's name #over coming up with increasingly elaborate ways to call them to #it just #it's so much more natural #especially if you're writing in THEIR POV #idk simple is just GOOD sometimes #writing problems #katie thinks she's relevant #writing tips #obviously there are other important tips #like varying length of sentences and paragraph #the rule of three #and removing redundant words..#still struggling with that one tho #also overusing 'only' and 'as' but that's another issue ahahaha
