truly nothing could ever hope to compare to the feeling of spending over half an hour looking through one's font collection to switch up a thing only to decide to use the font you'd been using originally will suffice

#thirty minutes is actually severely lowballing it #also this post is mostly abt how i've been editing the gnshn font to be Not Bold for reasons that are like 45% enrichment 30% for Me #and like 25% for friends/just so that this can Exist and also not be weirdly painful to look at when writing #bc it Also bothers me when writing that this font doesn't have ligatures which like #at first i thought it was crazy that i didn't notice it in-game but then i paid more attn to it in-game and i was like #'how is this working So Well in-game but not in my writing software' and i think i have Some idea of why #the heavier weight makes it easier to read against the varied backgrounds as well as at smaller varied font sizes #it's also white text with a thin dark outline in-game to give it a bit of depth; i think that's another contributing factor #and the letters are also spaced out slightly more to accommodate for these things which is good it increases legibility #and so overall it works well in-game but then when you try to write with it you're like 'what the fuck why's it ugly'#花話
