In honor of a true #TBT...it's official. The Southern Illinois Miners will retire #20 in honor of Ralph Santana on Saturday, June 10th. Ralph has been an integral part of the Miners organization. First as a player in 2007 where he hit .342, got the teams' first hit, was named the Miners first All-Frontier League player at 2b, he later became an important part of the coaching staff, was the leagues' Coach of the Year in 2012 in our Championship season. More important, he is our family. We are very excited to make this announcement and hope you can be there for it. For those that will ask, Ralph will continue with our staff in an instructional role as he has for years, working with our base runners and infielders.
