everyone write 100 lines of "'creator chose not to use archive warnings' is proper tagging no matter what else is in that fic and if you OPEN a fic tagged as such it's entirely on you whatever you find in there" before going back to any discourse on dark fic and antis i am BEGGING

#mona rambles #'you can write whatever content you want as long as you tag properly'#that's proper tagging. anything beyond that is a courtesy and people would do REALLY WELL to remember that #do I think more detailed tags are a good courtesy? do I like to extend it?? yes #am I happy when other authors do too cause it makes reading easier?? absolutely yes #but people are not entitled to tags #the only thing you're entitled to is that particular tag if there is something in the fic that should be warned for #sorry sorry ignore me just. this has been driving me up the wall for ages #i have a whole actually well-worded rant in my drafts but yk. bat. hornet's nest. etc etc
