i ship a LOT of saiki ships but ironically one of the most popular ones isnt on that list: torisai. its not that much of an exaggeration, especially on the tumblr fandom. its very popular lmfao

i just...dont see it. i think its because i dont like toritsuka enough. hes great, dont get me wrong, hes gonna have decently large roles in three of my longfics if two of em ever get to his (since hes in chap 1 of another) but...i dont see it. ive never seen it. and i feel like the only person in the fandom who doesnt lmfao

please dont try and convince me or anything, it wont work. ive tried to see it. but i dont. toritsuka and saiki just flat out dont mesh at all romantically for me. and part of it is because toritsuka is also just pretty gross

did he get better? yes. but he was a pervert at the start. he's done disgusting things. he has actively peeped on girls using ghosts. not even just wanted to. idk if the anime had it, but he definitely has suceeded in stuff like learning about their underwear in the manga.

and when he saw saiki as a girl his first thought was about saikis fucking boobs. thats disgusting. he said it out loud. it wouldve been okay if it was just a thought, that cant be controlled, but it wasnt. he said it

hes gotten better. i think post canon he has potential to be even better, because we havent seen much of how hes changed after the cat tank, honestly. but part of it is because i dont care to explore post canon scenarios with specifically toritsuka so i dont consider him past canon, rip. he has a good place in my heart because i do like him a lot, but at the same time...he just. doesn't go with saiki for me. at all.

edit: i do feel like they have a decent sibling relationship, though, lol. i actually think on reflection that part of the reason i dont ship it is because they seem like brothers to me if anything
