Hi fellow AMFisHers!   This weeks AMFisH fishing vlog is about the importance of trying new baits:

As all us AMFisHers know there are a lot of baits on the market and many new baits hitting the market every few months, so where do we start?  How do we keep up with all of it?  Well it’s simple try a few new baits every year, this way you do not fall too far behind with hot new baits that are working and once you learn how to fish these new baits you can add them to your fishing arsenal, hence being more prepared on fishing outings.

We need all the help we can get when fishing, as tricking the fish into biting artificial baits is not always an easy thing to do.   The more prepared we are with our baits the more successful we will end up being on the water, it’s just that simple!

I typically read up on new baits that have hit the market and wait a month or so to hear more about the bait, pros & cons of it from fellow anglers.   Then if a bait has peaked my interest I have a closer look at it in the store and go from there.

Each year I make sure to try at least 2 to 3 new baits, as those are 2 to 3 more options I have at triggering fish strikes.
