I feel so bad for Alim, he has to let his daughter go into the time stream and who knows when he'll see her again it's just so sad.

Noodles hypothesized that Alim may pass away in the near future, which explains why Alix feels comfortable sharing these memories from across the timeline.

Anyway, I absolutely adore Alix—I’m glad her role in the series/plot has significantly expanded. Sacrificing a life of normalcy to preserve the flow of time is quite admirable of her.
