#and a lot of meiko's are around the same time while kaito at least has a few newer originals with motions

a little concert idea rambling session-
idea: a meiko or kaito centered concert for their 20th anniversary. the entire track list are songs in their release order. if this were a thing i executed, that would include covers. so 2008 would be nostalogic, 2009 would be change me, but then 2010 might be calc or secret police. each song representing each year until we hit the 20th anniversary mark. Another catch: cover contributors could only use their V1s for songs that predate their V3s. so if the cover contributor picked tell your world (2012) they'd have to use meiko / kaito v1, since their v3s were released in 2014 / 2013 respectively.
pros: - i think it's a neat idea - good diversity and potentially a fun challenge for cover creators - it's a particularly good fit for Kaito, seeing as he is like. the king of having covers of other character's songs. - it would only really work for meiko or kaito, because they have a small number of original songs with motions. Characters like len / rin / gumi / flower would have enough motions for originals that you could make a full concert, where as characters like piko / seeu / fukase have so FEW motions it would be basically all covers.
cons: - No motions exist for songs older than 2007, so there would be a 3 year gap for meiko and a 1 year gap for kaito - Even with the gap.. that's a lotta songs. kinda long for an online concert. if we're averaging each song at around 4 minutes, that's 76 minutes for kaito and 68 minutes for meiko. for perspective, nico cho parties generally last about 40-50 minutes and the plps have both hit just above 50 minutes
if u got this far u should give me ur thoughts on this matter because i am steadily rotating it in my brain whenever i have a free moment.

More headcanons but this is specifically about the leaders of each group
First things first, they have a group chat called "LETS GO LESBIANS LETS GO!!!" Tsukasa was the one who named them that.
In all honesty, had they met prior to him finding his true feelings, Tsukasa might have felt odd about being the only boy in the group.
That being said, as I've mentioned before, Tsukasa doesn't know what he identifies in terms of gender, so like, no need to worry. Besides, he knows at least ONE person here.
Unlike in their individual SEKAIs, the VS in the leaders SEKAI look pretty much how we see them by default. No special costumes or personalities. It's just them.
Vent vent vent vent vent-
Minori and Kohane will often times plan out double dates while in the SEKAI.
Everyone in the group is dating someone, with Ichika dating the most people and Kanade not having an actual label for her relationship with Mafuyu. Whether someone saw their relationship as romantic or platonic didn't matter to her.
Much like how Mizuki calls Akito "little brother," the girls begin to refer to Tsukasa as "big brother."
One of the girls who does it most is Kohane, who says it in front of the rest of VBS like, once. Akito did choke on his pancakes when he heard her call Tsukasa Tenma of all people "big brother."
Kanade definitely is made to rest whenever she enters the leaders SEKAI.
They each have a hard time grasping that the VS in their individual SEKAIs were so different. Them each having a SEKAI was weird too, but they got over it, but not so much the different VS. What do you mean Miku is a crazy cat girl??? She's fucking emo as hell-
Ichika was actually nervous having Tsukasa around. She wasn't sure if he'd reveal anything embarrassing. She was relieved when that didn't happen.
Scratch that last one, as soon as date talk began, Tsukasa began to tell tale after tale of Ichika's dates with his sister and eventually their entire band. He'd wipe away fake tears and everything and claim how proud he was of them.
Minori and Kohane are eating the stories up while Ichika is dying in the back and Kanade is just chilling.
Braiding circles/lines where everyone is sitting and braiding the hair of the person in front of them. Usually Tsukasa sits at the back since he has the shortest hair, but sometimes Kohane or Minori will give him small braids.
If you're wondering who sits in the front: it's Kanade.
I personally like to think their SEKAI evolves from being a stage to being a park with lots of trees and flowers. Somewhere very open, beautiful and relaxing.
If one if them is sad, they're all sad. It's the law of the Lead SEKAI. (It's not really but like, sometimes they don't have it in them to make someone else in the group happy)
When the lead SEKAI was created, Tsukasa was the only one who had all six VS in his SEKAI. Kohane had the second most VS in her SEKAI with four, Ichika and Minori each had three and Kanade only had two.
Learning that one of them had six VS in their SEKAI made them wonder if they would get more VS in their own SEKAIs as well and if so, who would they meet next.
Come next group visit, Kanade, Minori and Kohane all had new additions to their SEKAI, with Kanade having both MEIKO and Luka show up at the Empty SEKAI, Minori also had MEIKO show up at the Stage SEKAI and Kohane had KAITO arrive in the Street SEKAI.
Ichika was a bit bummed out that no new VS showed up in the School SEKAI. She would later show up and announce that Kagamine Rin had arrived at the School SEKAI.
As they get to know each other they will sometimes enter the Lead SEKAI, see someone has already arrived, and will just be like, "one of those days?" "....." "Same."
Cuddle piles are optional but you can always find at least two people cuddling.
They each bring their own special touch to the SEKAI. Tsukasa will bring balloons and stuffed animals, Kohane brings a stereo and some CDs. Ichika brings a polaroid camera and things they can use to hang up the photos. Minori brings things they can eat and drink, and Kanade ends up bringing carnations.
When asked about it, they each will say why they brought what they brought.
Tsukasa brought the balloons and stuffed animals because not only were they a part of his SEKAI, but because they reminded him of his sister, Saki. They were bright and soft and something he cherished.
Kohane brought the stereo and CDs as a connection to Vivid Street and Weekend Garage, where she not only met An, Akito and Toya, but where she truly began to gain confidence in herself. Music meant a lot to her and discovering something new led to good things.
Ichika brought the camera and photo hanging materials for a reason similar to Tsukasa: it's something she cherished and was also connected to Saki Tenma. Ichika tells the group how in the School SEKAI they have a board filled with pictures of Leo/need as kids, all happy and together. Seeing those moments captured and not forgotten was special to her, especially considering how the group of friends was at one point no longer a friend group. She doesn't want to forget this group as well, so she wants to capture whatever moments they have together.
Ichika was genuinely afraid to go through that friendship breakup again and has to be reassured not only by her fellow leaders, but by the rest of Leo/need that that wouldn't happen again. Never again.
Minori doesn't have a special reason as to why she decided to bring food, she was honestly just hungry and decided to bring something everyone could enjoy. Eventually it became a thing for her to just bring snacks for group. She'll even ask in the "LETS GO LESBIANS LETS GO!!!" group chat for things everyone wants.
Kanade tells them about how carnations were her mother's favorite flower and about how she thought her family took her to a massive field filled with white carnations as a kid. She doesn't tell them about her family or her past entirely, but enough for them to understand these flowers are special to her.

Project Sekai Headcanons!
These are just general headcanons I have about the game’s universe while I work on some for my own characters.
☆ I like to think that it's rare to see Luka and KAITO crossing over to different Sekais, but when they do it's a party
☆ "Untitled" will always remain on your phone. There's no exact way of getting rid of it once your Sekai has been created.
"Untitled" right now is the only confirmed way to get into and out of a Sekai.
To invite others to your Sekai that aren't a part of your unit, I feel like you have to hold their hand before you press play on "Untitled." The same rule applies when you want to leave, except it'll be paused.
The people you invite have to have some sort of Sekai of their own already established
☆ "Untitled" doesn't really have a start time or end time. It's more like, you can play it indefinitely until you wish to leave the Sekai.
If you spend too many days in the Sekai, it could possibly warp your perception of reality based on what environment you’re in
If it’s a more natural environment like a cafe or a stage, then you should be fine
If it’s more void like, it’s not exactly good to spend too long there
Miku and the others would have the power to kick people out if they feel it is endangering the person’s mental and/or physical health
☆ You don’t really mention your Sekai around other people unless you're with your unit and somewhere more private.
☆ Additionally, I feel like managing a lot of Sekais can take a toll on Miku sometimes
Sometimes "Untitled" occasionally glitches out of their phones when Miku’s used up too much energy
Don't worry, the other Vocaloid can still appear on their phones via hologram to inform them of what's going on
The other Vocaloid make Miku rest, especially MEIKO
☆ MEIKO and Luka are the moms of the group. You can't change my mind.
☆ Rin and Len are competitive as fuck and are more than willing to fight against children.
☆ Miku and KAITO are like that fun aunt and uncle you see at least once a week with the rest of the family.
☆ In the Sekai, all of the Vocaloid have a physical body. In the real world, they are virtual. That’s a no brainer.
With that being said, MEIKO gives the best hugs, no one can tell me any different-

Muses (Mobile Friendly Version)
Vocaloids
Tumblr media
Miku Hatsune
Age: 17
Role: Captain of the Exploration ship Crypton and current Voice of Terpsichore for the Vocaloids.
Bio: A cheerful and kind-hearted girl with a great passion for music. She’s still quite young and very new to the position of Voice and as captain of her own ship but she’s a confident girl determined to do her best in both areas. She’s always wanted to explore the galaxy and meet and sing for other people since she was little. She was chosen due to her high aptitude with the Universal Harmony and high natural charisma that tends to naturally draw others to her.
Tumblr media
Gumi/Megupoid
Age: 16
Role: Navigator for the Crypton
Bio: An energetic and adventurous girl with an occasionally strange outlook, Gumi jumped at the chance to join the Crypton crew on their journey. She has a particular talent for tuning into the “Heart’s Melody” of an entire planet, making her well suited as a navigator. Gumi is also a bit strange on occasion and has a tendency to adopt stray animals as pets. Or at least try, Luka usually doesn’t let her.
Tumblr media
Rin Kagamine
Age: 14
Role: Communications Officer
Bio: The more outgoing and mischievous of the Kagamine twins, Rin came along mainly out of boredom and to look out for her brother. She prefers to spend most of her time playing video games and will sometimes do so even when she’s supposed to be on duty. Her other past times include playing pranks on the rest of the crew and teasing her brother.
Tumblr media
Len Kagamine
Age: 14
Role: Helmsman
Bio: The more reserved and responsible of the Kagamine twins, Len came along out of a desire to see new worlds like most of the others but also because he took to learning the ship’s controls the easiest out of the Vocaloids chosen to go, making him best suited for the role of the helmsman. He tries to get his sister to take things a little bit more seriously, but he often ends up getting dragged into her mischief anyway and even sometimes willingly goes along if only to make sure it doesn’t get too out of hand (and it can be fun). The Kagamine twins have a special gift for using the Universal Harmony that is strongest when they sing together.
Tumblr media
Luka Megurine
Age: 20
Role: Second in Command
Bio: Luka is the Mom Friend™. A mature and elegant young woman, Luka is Miku’s best friend who came along to help her on her mission and keep her and the rest of the crew out of trouble. This isn’t always an easy task, but at least she has it better than Defoko. Like any other Vocaloid though, she does know how to relax and have fun. It’s just that someone needs to be The Adult around here and it sure isn’t going to be Meiko.
Tumblr media
Meiko Sakine
Age: 21
Role: Ship’s Engineer
Bio: As one of the oldest members of the crew, you’d expect Meiko to be the most responsible, but you’d be wrong. The truth is that Meiko is a far too laid back woman who spends most of her time drunk. Still, she does know what she’s doing as an engineer. She can act more maturely while sober, when the situation warrants, but most of the time she doesn’t bother, much to Luka’s annoyance.
Tumblr media
Kaito Shion
Age: 17
Role: Chief Medical Officer
Bio: Kaito seems like an odd fit for a medic. He’s clumsy, has terrible luck and is a favorite teasing/bullying target for the ship’s more troublesome crewmembers but he always works hard and tries his best. Fortunately, he is surprisingly talented at his job for his age, which is why he got the job in the first place (that plus no one more experienced was really available).
Tumblr media
Gakupo Kamui
Age: 22
Role: Chief of Security
Bio: Gakupo dresses as and sees himself as a samurai (don’t ask how they even know what one is) and is pretty skilled with a sword, probably being one of the only members of the crew with formal combat training. That is basically the only reason he got the posit of security chief, though he certainly does his best to conduct himself well in this position.
Utauloids
Tumblr media
Teto Kasane
Age: 30 15
Role: Captain of the Vip2ch and Voice of Terpsichore for the Utau
Bio: A mischievous and fun loving girl who is probably the most gung-ho about going out and seeing the galaxy. She has a friendly rivalry of sorts going on with her fellow Voice Miku and is eager to prove that Utau are just as capable as idols as Vocaloids are. Getting to go on cool adventures is also a plus. While seemingly a very irresponsible and scatterbrained person who makes many who encounter her wonder how a girl like her got the position of Voice, let alone made the captain of a ship, she is scarily competent when the chips are down. Teto is a “chimera” which is to say, she has the power to spontaneously sprout giant bat wings out of her back and use them to fly.
Tumblr media
Momo Momone
Age: 16
Role: Chief Medical Officer
Bio: Based on a template for a type of Utau meant general domestic service as well as musical entertainment, Momo enjoys helping and taking care of others making her a natural fit as a medic, though she’s still learning. Momo is a very sweet girl but somewhat shy and sometimes a bit of a pushover with anyone who’s not currently a patient of hers. Momo has the ability to gain super strength in an emergency, but the power only lasts for five minutes.
Tumblr media
Uta Utane/Defoko
Age: 15
Role: Second in Command
Bio: While seemingly the most calm and level-headed of the Utau on this mission, Uta actually has a very sarcastic sense of humor and enjoys teasing her friends on occasion, especially Momo, but in many ways, she often is the most responsible person on the ship. As the Vip2ch’s second in command, she has the often thankless job of keeping her captain from going too far off the rails and wrangling the rest of their ragtag crew together, making sure they don’t get into too much trouble. This isn’t really anything new as most of them were already friends before the mission but it’s a bit different when they have to all live and work together in a spaceship for who knows how long. Fortunately, she has a lot of patience and is quite used to how quirky most Utauloids are. She suffers from a condition where her voice sounds more obviously robotic than the average Utau, making her sound almost emotionless in normal speech, but she can still manage to sing well despite this if she works at it.
Tumblr media
Tei Sukone
Age: 19
Role: Communications Officer
Bio: While she seems like a nice enough girl under normal circumstance, Tei is actually a mentally unstable backstabber, albeit one who genuinely cares about her friends and fellow Utau in her own special way. It’s Vocaloids and especially Miku Hatsune that she hates. The only exception to this is Len Kagamine who she has a rather unhealthy and potentially (ha) dangerous obsession with. She also considers Teto a rival, though in a more friendly way. She’s mostly here because she knew Miku and Len were also both going out on the same mission and she is hoping to meet them. She probably won’t betray the rest of the crew at some point just to get at Miku or Len, probably…
Tumblr media
Ritsu Namine
Age: 20
Role: Helmsman
Bio: Ritsu is a bit of an odd one. He claims to be a man cross-dressing as a woman and stuffing his bra, but since he claims he’s stuffed it with missiles, no one is sure whether they should take him seriously, which is how he likes it (he also claims to be 6 years old but that one’s more obviously a lie). He has a reputation as being a bit of a bully and enjoys messing with people’s heads.
Tumblr media
Ruko Yokune
Age: 19
Role: Navigator
Bio: Ruko is a romantic person and is rather eager at this chance to see the stars, but she’s also extremely prone to drowsiness and spends a lot of time sleeping, even sometimes (often) falling asleep on duty. Still, she has the same power to navigate by hearing the Heart’s Melody of planets that Gumi has and she does her best to do her job to the best of her ability. Unfortunately, Ruko also has a bit of a gambling habit.
Tumblr media
Miko Ooka
Age: 14
Role: Chief of Security
Bio: Miko claims to actually be a wolf in humanoid form, and she does indeed possess a wolf’s ears and tail as well as the power to fully transform into a wolf. She also tends to act rather more animalistic than most Utau, from the way she sleeps to her tendency to bite people, even chewing on people she likes as an odd way of showing affection. Still, she’s actually fairly good at her job as security chief and one of the better fighters in Teto’s crew, as well as a pretty nice person overall despite her eccentricities.
Tumblr media
Hate Aino (Pronounced Ha-Te)
Age: 17
Role: Ship’s Engineer
Bio: Hate is an energetic chatterbox. She will talk your ear off about any manner of things and seems to actively hate being quiet. She’s also very friendly and really likes working with tech, which makes her perfect for the job of Engineer so most people forgive her so long as she does her job.

Mikunology File #4: Fanmade/Derivative Characters in Vocal Android
Forget those dumb character lists I made in the first two files, I don’t have the time to make icons/portraits for everybody.
But, I figured I might as well talk about the fanmade and deriative characters that will be featured in this series/comic/story/whatever, so here we go. And remember, some portrayals of characters are made up purely for storytelling’s sake--if there wasn’t a story to any of this, I’d probably portray some of these characters differently.
Info under the cut! (WARNING: A CRAPTON OF READING.)
Truthfully, unlike the Cryptons, who have a clear-cut role in the story (which is, duh, the main characters), a lot of the fanmade characters are sort of scattered throughout the story. Some are important, most are just little background characters that help populate this wacky, futuristic world the Vocaloids live in. But I have to say, I have the Friendship is Magic approach to background characters: despite being backgrounds, they probably have their own story to tell.
So what of them?
Akita Neru & Yowane Haku: Oh, these guys. As stated on a post I made on Incorrect Vocal Android Quotes, these two start out as low-tier villains, so low-tier I actually wouldn’t categorize them as such considering other characters fill the title of “villain” so much better. Why? Story-wise, these two do little more than make halfhearted attempts at antagonizing Miku and the Cryptons, and even then, it’s mostly Neru’s personal envy. That’s why I don’t consider it a spoiler that Neru and Haku end up joining the heroes--though Haku’s role gets expanded later on as we learn more about her creators.
Calne Ca/Calcium: Calcium, surprisingly enough, would have counted as a oneshot villain if it weren’t for the fact she’s just terribly lonely. Calcium, in reference to Deino’s concept, is supposed to be a robotic exoskeleton--and in this story, a robotic exoskeleton developed by a miscellaneous company for some shady reasons. She gains a Miku skin (thus becoming Calne Ca) after coming to idolize Miku’s music and deeds, and later on gets the more humanlike skin from Bacterial Contamination after Miku befriends her.
Zatsune Miku: As mentioned on Incorrect Vocal Android as well, Zatsune is definitely one of the more textbook supervillains in Sapporo. Created by a mysterious underground company, Zatsune’s mission is basically Kill & Replace--assassinate Miku, get all her glory and fame, maybe cause a robot uprising in the process, who knows. Thing is, curiously enough Zatsune’s specific function is more of an attack droid, not a singing one, and while at first she’s a bit more quirky and hammy she gets MUCH more serious when you see her...other design (aka her original one, if you’ve been to the Fanloid Wiki).
Dell Honne: Last I checked, I mentioned Dell quite a few times on Incorrect Vocal Android as well, and well...he’s not at all a nice guy, and arguably a worse villain than Zatsune depending on your perspective. While in retrospect I realize Dell was supposed to be a “Yowane Len”, so to speak, he’s actually a human character who is supposed to be Haku’s creator. He runs the large technology company Honne Corporation (a corporation I’ll go into more detail about later since I plan on making a post about companies in this story), and initially created Haku based on Miku’s success, and subsequently junked her when Haku failed to perform. But he’s not just a backstory character--he gets up to some evil plans later.
Hagane Miku: OK, OK. I’ll be honest that my portrayal of Hagane is a bit confusing, but I’ll do my best to be straight about it. (The problem with Miku’s derivatives is that I had to explain why she has so many lookalikes.) To start, I will say that I didn’t initially intend Hagane to be her own person in this verse--in one of the old drafts of this plotline, Hagane was simply a death metal alter ego Miku took on when people wanted her to be edgier. But in this current plotline, there are two Haganes, based on the H-side and M-side versions the Haganeloids were supposed to have.
Hagane Type-H: The Type H Haganes are a line of attack droids sent to destroy Sapporo while simultaneously wrecking Miku’s reputation, supposedly created by a faction of Honne Corp. (though it’s unconfirmed). The thing is about the H-Haganes is that unlike the Cryptons, or heck, unlike Zatsune, they are mindless--they simply follow the commands whoever made them gives them. Which, to Miku and crew, makes them that much more dangerous.
Hagane Type-M: This is where the more confusing part comes. See, as more stuff happens, the Vocaloids end up inspiring a LOT of people, and not only do more singers pop up because of them, more heroes do, too! That said, it’s not uncommon for some of said new heroes to base their image on the Vocaloids themselves--and thus, M-Type Hagane Miku is a vigilante fighting bad guys on the lower deck in a punk-rock Miku image. Who she really is, no one knows, but she definitely helps the group when the H-Types show up.
Sakine Meiko: OK, this one is purely technical but I felt I should clear up some things in case someone tries to point it out--Sakine Meiko and the Meiko that features as a main character (MEIKO) are one and the same. Sakine as the derivative she’s known as was Meiko’s persona when she used to be a teen idol, being a one-hit wonder before retiring so Meiko could study science. Hence, that’s why I give Meiko the surname of “Sakine” even as an adult.
Shion Family: Yes, they exist here, too. The Shion Family is, as expected, Kaito’s crazy family of brothers (and one sister) that he occasionally goes to visit, or that occasionally visit him and cause havoc. I won’t go into detail about each one, but the family is pretty much made up of (in order of birth): Akaito (red), Kikaito (yellow), Kaito himself (blue), Mokaito (brown), Taito (purple), Nigaito (green), Kaiko, and finally Kageito (who I’ll go more into next). All this plus their unnamed foster father who I need to make. Zeito, as much as I wanted to include him, isn’t here simply because I haven’t figured out a role for him yet (as Kageito kind of has the role people would expect Zeito to have, knowing Zatsune).
Kageito Shion: You know how above I say that not all portrayals in Vocal Android are reflective of my image of the character, and that if this were ust a story-less random thing characters would be portrayed differently? This is definitely one of those times. Kageito, in this story, is Zatsune’s right-hand man and most loyal lackey, being a calm and sweet boy that was transformed into a devious and crazed monster after being possessed by a mysterious shadow being. He directly antagonizes Miku and the Kagamines numerous times but is routinely defeated, and goes into hiding with Zatsune sometime later (whom he’s infatuated with, by the way). Whether Miku actually brings him back to his original self is up in the air.
Hatsune Mikuo, Kagamine Rinto, and Kagamine Lenka: I was slightly iffy about adding genderbends in simply because it’d be hard to explain how they exist (because, like I said before, I’m trying to explain why there’s so many Mikus running around), but I gave in eventually. Kind of along the lines of how Haku was developed, the genderbends were made as knockoffs--created by a couple of random scientists who wanted a piece of the action. Mikuo, Rinto, and Lenka don’t have the powers that Miku and crew have, though, but they befriend them just the same. S’all good.
Kagami Kawaiine: Now we’re getting to the silly ones. Kagami, unlike most of the characters above, is simply a silly background character that pops up now and again to annoy absolutely everyone around her. She’s a human girl that tries to imitate Miku and interrupts random events by being a weeb.
Sasayaki Nerune: Another background character, and actually my OWN character--she’s a narcoleptic android that works random odd jobs and appears from time to time doing something weird. I just think it’s fun to have her cameo occasionally.
Hachune Miku, Tako Luka, Shiteyanyo and Larval Rin: The weird little mascots are characters that simply pop in now and again to do whatever, with Tako Luka officially being Luka’s pet in this story. Hachune shows up very randomly as a sort of a visual joke, but also offers Miku rather assertive advice (thus leading Miku to believe Hachune is simply a figment of her imagination). Shiteyanyo and Larval Rin I haven’t decided on yet, but maybe they’ll show up somewhere.
Mikudayo: Mikudayo, in all essence, is just a little running gag that exists solely to spook the hell out of the other characters. While I imagine it originated at a convention/concert kind of place (mirroring how it came to be in real life), it just stalks Miku relentlessly for some reason. Miku isn’t too sure it’s even just a human in a suit, either.
OK so that was a LOT of writing I just did. But yep, those are the plans for those characters, at least. And just so everyone knows, I’m totally open to suggestions on other derivatives as characters (I am NOT taking ocs, but if there’s a more notable fanmade I haven’t heard of then I’d love to include them). If you got to the end of this post, then I wholly appreciate your endurance of my weird ideas and your interest.
