Man, as if we didn't have Vtuber Sonic around, Movie Sonic is a double-whammy of a middle finger towards IDW Sonic and what Flynn says about him.

This is the same roughly-more-naive depiction who showed NO mercy towards Jimbotnik in both movies. Flynn should be absolutely embarrassed to try to excuse his portrayal when it's hardly the only one around.

Friendly reminder that Movie Sonic, who was depicted as younger and more scared than game Sonic, trapped Robotnik in a planet full of nothing but mushrooms and fully expected him to stay there for the rest of his life.

He also walked away without a care in the world after he apparently killed him under his own Death Egg Robot.

Movie Sonic is hardcore <3

And the movieverse makes no effort in pretending that it's "spelling out Sonic as envisioned by SEGA". Movie Sonic is his own Sonic, understandably different than the real deal but still with enough traits in common to be both recognizeable and likeable :)
