The thing about the whole Star Wars canon vs legends debate is that they're both stupid but most legends fans refuse to admit that it was also stupid cause of nostalgia goggles so every time canon does something stupid you see a bunch of people be like "see this is why legends was superior" and then they start talking about something from legends that was just as stupid if not even stupider.

#at least now palpatine only came back in a clone body once instead of multiple times and it took him over 30 years instead of less than 10 #and at least now the new republic's successor state won't be formed by merging with the imperial remnant #which is treated like a good thing for some reason #and at least now the sith aren't still around for more than a fucking century after the ot #and next time someone whines about a character surviving a serious lightsaber injury go ahead and remind them about galen marek or k'kruhk #and that's not even getting into the superweapons #star wars #shut up tristan
