It's so strange to think back on my pre-mcyt era because I really had no idea what mcyt was. I thought it was all just speed running and pvping, generally just y'know. Boring sweaty gamer stuff. And as such I fully discounted it as something I wouldn't be interested in, as someone who has never cared about sports.

... Then one day I saw the phrase Minecraft Roleplay and some mentions of Characters, and bam! I've been here ever since

#alongside the whole “multiple platonic ships from dsmp making it into the top 100 ao3 ships list” thing #and also having accidentally stumbled across a fansong and been intrigued to see what could compell such an emotional song #and being on vacation then immediately catching covid menaing I couldn't engage with the video game my previous fandom had been focused on #(+ just burn out on that game as I'd been in the fandom for over a year)#just me rambling
