hyperfixation so powerful it’s actually inspiring me to get back into drawing for the first time in like. four years.
#like i have a vague idea planned out for a project#in high school drawing class i once made a piece that was just my own hands in different positions/holding different things/etc#with patterns around them transitioning into the next hand position#i.e. holding a daisy with the petals blowing off but the petals turn into bubbles popped by my hands drumming with a pencil and pen#and each hand is also drawn in a slightly different method#like one is very bold and clean lines while one is more scribbly and one is stippled#and it’s all black and white ofc i love black and white art#but i love how it turned out like even tho i see a bunch of imperfections and funky bits and awkward areas i adore how it came out#so i’m thinking i could do a similar kind of project using skz’s hands instead of mine#like how cute would that be#and i know that even tho im out of practice i specifically remember the warmups and practices we did in class leading up to this piece#so i can practice properly#and i have hard proof that when i am decently practiced i can make a final product that im satisfied with#so it takes off a lot of the intimidation factor. bc that’s half the reason i haven’t tried drawing in so long#i have super high standards and low skill level so my work will never turn out how i envision it and that’s too frustrating for me#but i don’t have to be scared of that with this! i’ve already done it before!!#and even if i don’t end up making a final polished work it would be fun to just do the warmups#doing blind / semi-blind contours of skz’s hands#i just gotta wait for a day when i’m free and motivated to dedicate some time and energy to break out my old sketchbook and give it a go
