Individuals I never take seriously: the “Jon deserved to die” discoursers and the “Red Wedding was justified” contrarians. Y’all are never going to be right I fear.
#asoiaf#jon snow#robb stark#I think acknowledging that nuances exist and that Robb and Jon were caught up within them is fine#but saying Jon deserved to die is essentially saying that#the mutineers were in the moral right to remove him for crimes and according to them Jon’s crimes were#favoring a meritocracy so that he can appoint satin and letting the wildlings through the wall#I mean there’s all that other stuff with the rumors about him and satin and Mel#and Jon def made mistakes but he didn’t deserve to die for them#the pink letter is s culmination of his ADWD arc it’s not the sole reason for the mutiny happening#he was always going to be in danger#and even if we say Jon has to be removed due to the pink letter there should be better legal recourse#not straight up murder#and the thing with Robb is there’s no legal or moral justification for what happened to him#he like Jon made mistakes but he absolutely did not deserve to die for them especially in such a horrific manner#saying that Jon and Robb deserved to die is essentially signing off on people like tywin walder frey and marsh#that’s…not good I think
