just finished watching both Tinashe & Chappell Roan's coachella sets and *sigh* i'm just really so happy for them.
#tinashe#chappell roan#like tinashe has been going to the festival since she was 16. been working her ass off making music & dancing for AGES and now she's 31#and finally getting to cross playing it off her bucket list/is SHOOTING UPP in notariety over the last couple yrs & w this last release esp#chappell roan put midwest princess out as a last shot at doing music after being signed to a label at like 17(?) that didn't really get her#then dropped. idk. it's lightning in a bottle & there's no real rhyme or reason to it there's formulas sure but they only work to an extent#they're both examples of it'll happen when it happens IF it does at all but if you keep working then maybe.#idk i'm just really happy for them. they're both so talented and SO skilled & their joy was palpable annd they both put that shit onn#the pop genre is such a better and far more exciting landscape with them in it that's for damn sure.
