Deft's story is amazing! Seeing his face crumple after hugging a crying Keria was heartbreaking, especially after that interview where Keria said that when DRX separated, they all promised to meet each other in a bigger stage...
It really was an incredible and emotional journey ;A; I first started cheering for him in 2016 during his EDG days and the fact that he had to defeat so many of his old teammates at every stage is a knife to the heart;;; Plus in the finals he had to face off against both his closest friend (Keria) and also his high school classmate slash the greatest player of all time (Faker) and the entire thing honestly felt like the plot of an anime come to life 🥺🥺
#if we go allll the way back to qualifiers there was rascal and cuzz from kt#then scout and meiko from edg in quarters#chovy and doran (and score-hyung) from geng in semis#and finally keria from skt for finals#i think in an interview he said it was sometimes tough playing against them#bc he always had the mindset that his teammates were the best in the world#and he couldn't think that way when he faced them bc he had to believe his current teammates were the best#or smth along those lines and ngl that broke my heart a lil ;-;#they're all good kids and i hope they don't give up and find success in future seasons ;-;#[deft voice] because in the end the most important thing is an unbreakable spirit#ok 1 am mel is done emoting sorry for the esporps spam;;;

if you all wondered why I've been mostly MIA for nearly a month, I have been waiting for one moment since last year

from seeing the first win in 2013
to Faker's fourth World Championship win in 2023
from the devastating loss in the Finals in 2022 to DRX to this triumphant win vs WBG, sticking together through all the hardships in this past year, from tears to cheers, these five players are truly the best players in the world! :D

LOTTE i just watched a video on the story of deft and faker omg i’m so invested and i saw you posting about lol a few days back this is so insane that’s a video game but why does my heart ache…
right???? you cant make that shit up... the whole high school thing, drx barely making it into worlds and then winning like. at one point kingen 1v1ed zeus hello??? i anticipated the finale to be a true lck match boring asf w no real teamfights only map control etc but it was ssooo good... the baron steals.... another thing is as defts old supp keria has always said hes gonna get deft the worlds cup and then ending up as his rivale in defts (maybe) last finale and 'getting' him the worlds cup is sooo wtf but hes still young and it seems like they are getting more emotional support from each other and from outside factors now so even if seeing keria cry was heartwrenching im sure he and the new skt will be fine they have soso much potential obviously. so deft getting that one last win was the best possible outcome i think. also lil nas x was there
