#maybe it's remnants from the tma fandom being so gunho about fanon designs being canon/the only acceptable designs#but i just. i get so hiss bite scratch any time people try to say that a headcanon is universal#even if it's said in jest like 'haha can't believe we all share a braincell'#because fandom diversity is important imo (and for podcasts with non-canonical character descriptions#diversity in character designs is important too)#and i don't want to see potential creativity shut down because it deviates from the 'universal' fandom opinions#idk i think the tma fandom really did do a number on me aslkdgja. i'm now v. protective of fandom character design diversity alkdgas#no popular fanon! we have surpassed the need for popular fanon#discourse
