not the cast and crew of various franchises having to make twitter announcements about now they don’t stand for racism after their actors get harassed to hell and back by fans every single goddamn time
#its so embarrassing#i feel like they keep setting up actors of color and then are suprised when theyre harassed#like none of the original characters from the rings show are poc only the new ones they created and added#and i just learned that so it makes the Representation tm feel hollow. no actual. effort was made#did you really throw in some poc for once so you could make yourselves look better and then be shocked pikachu at the reaction from#fans you KNOW are racist and bigoted and conservative#pls your actors are not existing to fill a diversity quota for a company with human rights abuses#just admit that they cannot make Representations tm in any meaningful bold or courageous way#and never intended to nor never will#i feel sick#STOP intentionally putting your actors of color at a disadvantage from the beginning#im so tired of this#no meaningful of impactful roles for poc in this house!#especially not already existing beloved characters#bc they can keep adding us to their stories like the seasoning they desperately need#but dont have the balls to give the presence of poc in middle earth or fucking space lasting impact#rage barking growing biting maiming#lotr#the rings of power#star wars
