to me there's nothing scarier than having to talk with, meet or spend time with a distant relative or even people who aren't even my relatives but are relatives of my relatives (like my dad's cousin from his other side of the family or whatever). it's literally people i've only maybe seen once or twice in person and not in the past 10-15 years (even in the case of my dad's siblings because they live far away and don't even get along). its just 2 much for my introverted self

#my dad can't understand why i don't want anything to do with them.... um maybe because they're effectively strangers ?#my dad just revealed that his friend - who i think is the brother of a deceased relative of my dad?- is travelling to our city TOMORROW #and i'm already dreading it; the eventual visit and possible 'hanging out' w/ them #like who are these people and why should they come to our house #text #ofc this is my dad missing his own relatives and feeling nostalgic i get that but im a peripheral part of it like its nothing to do w/ me
