I was rewatching D2 and saw that Evie had said none of the C4 was too popular on the Isle and it just leads to more confusion on how they even ended up becoming the saviors of the Isle in D3. I would've loved to see how the OG Isle that hated them for turning their backs on evil would've reacted to them being okay at the end of D3 (right before the engagement party) with Mal closing the barrier forever and really only seemed mad because she had lied to them about it.

( sofia carson. nineteen. cisfemale. she/her. ) — in the wake of an avoided war, evie grimhilde has proven themselves after all these years as a sedulous child of the evil queen. it was difficult for them to adjust to life in auradon university, thanks to their upbringing. now that they’re a sophomore at the university, though, and tensions between the two worlds which collided long ago are blatantly beginning to rise once more, you’ll primarily find them surrounding themselves with villain kids. around campus, they’re associated vehemently with absentmindedly twirling their hair around their finger, narrowed eyes and pursed lips, standing outside during a thunderstorm & gazing longingly at the stars.

ok so first thing’s first: i’m illiterate & u should keep ur expectations p low for this intro ((:

secondly, the main hc i have for evie is that she hadn’t officially left the castle across the way ( the castle on the far end of the isle she and her mother were banished to when evie was 6 ) until just before the decree to allow vks in auradon, meaning she wasn’t ever really involved in any of the turf wars on the isle .. we love a bitch with no allegiances

rewind to her childhood and u see her pretty much having the most glamorous life a narcissistic six year old could have on the isle until suddenly she’s not allowed to leave the castle or see any of the nice people who treated her like the princess she was raised to think she was. it’s confusing and it’s scary because the only company she has are some goblins and her mother, a scorned former queen who has to see her daughter grow to surely surpass her own beauty as each day passes. it only took a few months of near isolation to drive her mother to violence, first only in words until one day she took to leaving smatterings of black and blue on evie’s skin.

if evie was good at anything, it was pretending. she’d often imagine herself at a ball, twirling in the arms of a prince, she’d imagine beautiful gowns and glittering jewels and lovely music. of course, she didn’t have any idea what these things were really like, as no one on the isle had much more than rags ( the only piano music she’d ever heard had been from the broken baby grand in the castle, only six keys still intact ). molding books in a long disused library were the fuel for her fantasies, bits and pieces of wonderful stories, all more appealing than her own ( her favorite was romeo & juliet, though the story abruptly ended due to only the first seventy-three pages being left in the spine ). so, as someone so wonderfully versed in imagining impossible things for herself, she’d pretend her mother’s actions were out of love, a tool to make her as beautiful and as strong as possible.

evie learned early on that if she wanted to look her very best, she needed to learn to sew her own clothes. it didn’t take long for her to find a passion in using her extensive imagine to create something beautiful and something to be proud of beyond just how it made her look.

OF COURSE, although she was frightened of her mother and knew deep down the way she was treated wasn’t right, evie has a bad habit of seeing the very best in people despite their worst actions and will pretty much do anything to please her mother. this lead to using her beauty and her charm as a way to manipulate and scheme her way into people’s good graces ( no matter how much she hated the satisfaction it brought her ). so when she went to collect things from the delivery barges for her mother, she’d smile and flirt her way into getting the best pickings of the old jewelry, makeup and fabrics ( and the occasional non-rotten food item ).

when she heard that villains’ kids were being offered an opportunity to move to auradon, she didn’t hesitate in taking the chance. after a lifetime of dreaming of a life outside the confines of a dilapidated castle, she was finally given the chance to let herself live. that said, it’s very rare to find evie indoors unless she’s sleeping or in class. she’ll take any opportunity she can to be outside, especially once the stars come out.

one of the downsides to being cooped up basically alone for the majority of her life, is that she finds large groups of people intimidating and will likely have a panic attack if she feels surrounded ( back to the wall at all times )

it didn’t take long for her to realize that looking for a prince and her own castle and riches and pretty dresses wasn’t necessarily what she wanted for herself, so she’s more focused on making sure all the kids from the isle have as much freedom as possible ( cos even tho shes manipulative and conniving, she’s Still kind-hearted )

she’s also super smart?? which is something she never imagined she could be because she hadn’t had any previous education beyond what her mother taught her at home, but she’s really good with numbers and calculations so ig she could be a tutor if she really Wanted To ... ig we stan a nerd

i really have so many hcs that i cant remember at the moment? how annoying lmao !! ig the most important thing u should know is that she values bubble baths and chocolate ice cream above all else
