look i clocked the murderer in p4 pretty early on but you know what did stump me completely? they introduced a massive corporation with a bright happy jingle which was slowly taking over the entire local economy of a small town and splintering its longstanding tight-knit community and somehow this didn't end up being a conspiracy plot or sinister reveal. nothing to do with the murder. every day's great at your junes

#the literal entire game i was waiting for the other shoe to drop on junes #i was like nothing can ever tell me that every day's great this many times without it being some kind of sinister conspiracy #the real culprit is this corporation. they're behind the murders. this is about capitalism somehow #nope? i guess? you go there to eat steak and use their flatscreens?#like yeah the game is happy to show you the damage that junes is doing #and it's like... kind of thematically relevant?? and it's obviously central to saki and yosuke's initial arc #but like. you just go shopping there. it's shops. nanako likes to sing its happy song.#it adds to the theme of disillusionment etc but no more than any other major corporation. junes itself is not more sinister than amazon #and as a plot device it is really just straight up walmart for most of the game. walmart played straight #anyway. every day's great at your junes #rookposting #p4
