I have 2 friends who respond to texts like maybe 5% of the time and often in days or weeks which is fine that's who they are were all to comfortable demanding instant attention from our friends etc etc this is all true, the downside is it gives me so much time to think "oh fuck they hate me and they're just being polite"

#and i oscillate wildly between whatever if they really were upset with me theyd either be honest or it would be their problem #and like debilitating self hatred convincing me that actually i should ask if theyre mad at me every day #id never do that bc i fucking hate when people ask if im mad at them lmao its so uncomfortable so instead i just daydream it #which sounds bad but actually is helpful bc i purposely imagine like the most extreme worst case scenario #and then like its so obviously ridiculous and unrealistic that it resets my anxiety for a bit and I'm fine
