"With my dad laid up, we need all the help we can get. We’re practicing today if either of you want to join in on the festivities," Brandon persuades the two of you as you round the corner of the Peach Pit to sit at your usual booth. The familiar scent of pie crust and burgers fills the air, instantly putting your soul at ease.
"Thanks… but no thanks, slim," Dylan rejects him, sliding into the seat opposite of you while Brandon follows suit.
"Dylan, I thought you were a total baseball freak!" You tell him.
"I am, but listening to these parents berate their kids from the sidelines all day long," he shakes his head, cringing, "Brings back a whole slew of bad memories."
"But it shouldn't be about the parents!" Brandon protests, "It should be about being on a team, learning fundamentals, having a good time!"
"That's very noble, Brandon. But when I was playing? It was about winning at any cost necessary.” Dylan argues. Brandon sighs in defeat, looking to you.
"What about you, Y/N/N?"
"Not a chance,” you laugh.
"What? Why not?"
"Brandon… me and 20 kids, in an extremely competitive state? Did you learn nothing from the summer of '85?" You jest. Brandon chuckles at your extreme rejection, sliding a laminated menu your way.
"Wait… what happened in '85?" Dylan's eyes flicker cluelessly between the two of you, awaiting an explanation.
"Look, it was no big deal. Things got a little heated during one of Eric's little league games," you shrug dismissively, flipping through the Peach Pit's menu as if you didn't get the same thing every time.
"She beat up a nine-year-old,” Brandon quips.
“I didn’t beat up a—“ you pause, taking in a breath. “To put it simply I… put a kid back in his rightful place. He was picking on my brother, nothing happened that he didn't deserve."
“What’d you do, tackle him out on the field?” Dylan lifts his eyebrows, amused smile on his face.
“No, of course not!” You duck your head back into your menu, mumbling, “I went out there and hit him in the groin with his bat.”
-
The kids run out into the field, taking their positions with their needed equipment in hand. You lean back onto the warm metal fence, slipping a pair of sunglasses over your eyes to get a better look at Nat’s team. Without the glaring sun in your eyes.
“This is pathetic!” A young boy, adorned in a bright yellow Dukes uniform comes hurdling out from behind the fence to join Brandon and Steve. “They’re not even wearing uniforms!”
“So what?” Brandon shrugs, voice hardened, “It’s a practice game.” Steve leans into Brandon to whisper something to him, but since he lacks the levels of common decency that most people acquire by the age of five, he talks loud enough for the whole team to hear.
“They don’t look so good, Brandon.”
“It’s okay. They came to play, that’s the important thing.” Man… sometimes Brandon felt too good to be true. You’re convinced there has to be a catch at this point. Gorgeous, smart, great with kids. What’s next? He opens up an animal sanctuary for underprivileged strays? Buys a soup kitchen? “Listen up, you guys. The way you treat your competition is a direct comment on how you play the game. Good sportsmanship counts big time with me and my old man…” as he continues to ramble on, your thoughts begin to shift elsewhere. Like how good he looks. It’s purely criminal for anyone to look so hot in yellow. It’s an inherently unattractive color. Yet, there he is—coaching children in the blazing heat, instilling them with good sportsmanship, and all you want to do is to get him to yourself. That bastard. You shake it off, chalking it up to teenage hormones, and try to focus on the game.
“Hey doofus! You really eat toads!” The same kid whining about uniforms earlier is now directing all of his pent up privilege and ten-year-old angst towards the poor, sweet, small child from Nat's team, the Pitts, further solidifying your desire to never procreate.
“You’ll throw it better next time, Manny!” Nat encourages the little boy wholeheartedly, clapping for him as loudly as he can.
“Hey Corey! Throw it to the doofus, he’s a real toad!” Does this kid only know two insults? The smaller brunette, the less athletically gifted child hangs his head, kicking sand around the base plate in frustration. Brandon takes note of it, immediately bounding out into the middle of the game.
“Time out! Crawford, get in the game for Noah!” His voice is stern, and as he approaches the boy he’s in total coach mode. It’s kinda hot... Well, it’s not your fault baseball’s boring. Gotta keep yourself entertained somehow.
Steve stops Randy Crawford from going out from the fence with the back of his hand, and going after Brandon himself, sand slipping from under his shoes. You can’t hear what they're saying but you know it’s not the happiest conversation. Knowing them, you know exactly how this is playing out. You don’t even need to hear them. You can see Steve furrow his brows from the sidelines, and Brandon’s gesticulating with his hands wildly as they talk but can’t make out any words that are flying from their mouths. Brandon, the moral center of Los Angeles wants Noah out for being a little jerk. Steve, being Steve, would probably rather keep the better player in than save the self esteem of a little boy before it’s too late and it no longer exists. It’s not long until Brandon pats Steve hard on the shoulder, storming off the field in a blur of sand and sweat.
Well, that’s your cue to leave, isn't it? You go to follow Brandon out, but Steve stops you short.
“That boyfriend of yours is a total Boy Scout,” he spits.
“Well, someone’s gotta be," You scoff, eyes rolling, ”They’re just kids, Steve! This isn’t Major League Baseball. There’s no trophy, there’s no prize. There’s absolutely nothing at stake here. What they need to be doing is having fun, and while that snot-nosed little jerk is out there on the field, they’re all gonna be miserable.”
-
You flop down onto Dylan's couch, feet up on the armrest as he grabs a soda from the fridge and parks himself on the ottoman beside you. You exhale, eyes fluttering shut for a moment.
"Rough day out with the little leaguers?"
"Rough day out with Steve," you snort. “I’m so used to being around Brandon I forget that people like Steve Sanders even exist.”
“Come on, Steve isn't that bad."
"Dylan, you're talking about the guy that got carjacked by a girl he was trying to hook up with, and still bailed her out of jail--despite the fact she robbed him justminutes before--in the hopes of getting laid, only for her to steal his wallet." Dylan's face screws in a mix of amusement and total disbelief.
"Okay, so he's that bad," Dylan laughs. "Sorry to break it to you, Y/N/N, but not everyone is a part of the illustrious Walsh family."
"Not everyone can be," you tease. He gently tosses you a throw pillow from the chair across the room, and you use it to prop up your head. "It’s a tragedy.”
-
“See, what did I tell you? Isn’t he sweet? Isn’t he great?” Brenda watches as you comb through the stray dog’s long gray fur. He really is cute… wet black nose, shaggy gray hair, big puppy dog eyes. But you can’t keep him. “I think he likes you!”
“Bren, as much as I’d love to take this puppy home, my parents would kill me!"
“Just take him for a trial run, and if you like him, keep him!”
“Bren—“
“Please?”
“Bren—“
“Come on!” She pleads.
“Fine! Okay, okay. I’ll see if we can take him in tomorrow night,” you concede, giving the dog one last pat on the head. Brenda squeals happily, a grin on her face as she wraps her arms around you.
-
“He’s great! You’ll love him!”
"Fine. See you later... Wally."
The four of you watch silently, perched up at the counter of the Peach Pit as Nat's baseball team chows down on slices of pepperoni pizza. We've got Nat to your far left, wondering how the hell they're going to survive against the team from Beverly Hills, then we've got Dylan to your left debating on whether to finally help Nat and shack up with the struggling team, Brandon to your right who hasn't lifted his hand from your upper thigh this whole time which is seriously distracting, and you, wondering how such little boys could devour so much pizza in so little time.
"You know the improvement from one week to the next is remarkable." You mumble.
"Oh yeah… the kids are showing a lot of promise." Brandon nods absentmindedly, bringing his cup to his lips.
"But…" Dylan begins, "you still need a pitcher that can put the ball over the plate."
"Yeah," Nat sighs, "but win or lose, the most important thing is how good the kids feel about themselves." He's trying to convince you, but the more he talks the more you know he's trying to convince himself.
"Absolutely." You agree.
"Totally." Brandon nods.
"Yeah, I mean, in the long run that's all that counts," Dylan shrugs, his voice coated with scepticism.
"Absolutely." Brandon concurs.
"Totally…” You say. “Y’know, I was talking to Andrea about this and she knows a pretty great player from the valley."
They all turn their heads, slowly, with Nat glancing from you to the phone. You roll your eyes at the boys, making your way over to the payphone. The group watches with bated breath behind you as you slip in the quarters and dial her number, waiting for her to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Andrea, hi! Listen, uh, do you remember the other day? You told me you knew some kid in the valley who was a major blue-chip little leaguer?"
"Oh, yeah! Avery?"
"Yeah… Avery." You twist your head back, giving them a smile and a thumbs up.
-
"What's Dylan doing? Bringing in a ringer?" Steve scoffs, twisting the metal bat in his hand as he cleans it. You exchange knowing smirks with Brandon as Dylan helps Avery get ready on the sidelines. She takes off her ball cap, releasing the foot of long brunette pony-tailed hair. Gasps are heard from center field, seemingly originating from Noah. Shocker.
"Oh my god! Dude, it's a girl!" He laughs out, adjusting his cap against the wind.
"Poor Dylan, he's really scraping the bottom of the barrel, huh?" Oh, if only you and that misogynistic head of yours knew, Steve-O. And surprise, surprise—Every pitch she's involved in ends up in a home run for the Pitts.
And little by little, much to your joy, Steve is getting progressively more aggravated— tapping feet, flaring nostrils, bugged-out eyes. You’re beginning to like baseball.
Eventually you make your way over to Brenda, off by the sidelines. You watch as they send Davey from the Dukes out, and Manny, the small, athletically challenged boy from the Pitts, isn’t far behind. Brandon perks up, calling a timeout to give what you can only assume is another one of his infamous Brandon talks to his team. After a moment the team breaks up, moving into their correct positions and as Manny chokes up on his bat ready to pitch. You cringe, hiding your face in your hand.
But it's nothing short of a miracle as Davey throws the ball. It makes contact with Manny's bat, soaring across the field as he jets off across the bases. The catcher from the Dukes runs for the ball, tripping over his own foot and skidding across the grass. The whole team erupts into ecstatic cheers, rushing out and lifting Manny onto their shoulders. You know that Davey blew the pitch for him, you’ve seen him pitch a hundred times. But seeing the joy on that little boy's face, you knew that it didn't matter.
"Poor kid," Brenda sighs, looking out to the opposite direction to Randy Crawford, the catcher that landed face-first into the grass. "I mean, he really gave it his best-- Wally!"
"Wally? Bren, what're you-- oh my god! That is Wally!" Off in the distance, you can see the gray ball of hair hurdling towards the baseball diamond.
"That's not Wally! That's Rupert! It's my dog, he's back!" Randy gasps, watching in amazement as his shaggy mutt runs across the crowds and into his open arms.
"Hey uh," Brandon comes to greet you, but is looking out into the field as well, "isn't that supposed to be your dog, Y/N/N?"
"No, Brandon," Brenda shakes her head, light smile lacing her lips. "I guess that's Randy's dog…" You sigh, but seeing the little boy giggle with glee as Wally-- er, Rupert, laps at his cheek, there's no troubling emotions to be found.
"I'm sorry, Y/N/N," Brandon laces his fingers with yours, grabbing your attention with a soft kiss to your temple.
"I'm not," you assure him. You smile, the sight of the boy reuniting with his long lost dog something straight out of a movie scene. One last look and you turn away from the boy, eyes meeting your boyfriend’s. “Hey, Brandon... have a date for that dance yet?”

Genesis 50:1-Exodus 2:10, Matthew 16:13-17:9, Psalms 21:1-13, Proverbs 5:1-6
Today is the 25th day of January, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I am Brian it's great to be here with you at the end of another one of our weeks. And this is actually the final weekend of the first month of the year. So, well done. And as we end this week there's also another special line that we’re gonna cross. Today, we will conclude the first book of the Bible, the book of Genesis and then begin the book of Exodus. So, well done! And let's get to it. Let’s conclude the book of Genesis and then we'll talk about the book of Exodus as we begin it. But first, Genesis chapter 50, which is the final chapter of the book. And we’ll conclude the story of Joseph.
Introduction to the Book of Genesis:
Okay, so that concludes the book of Genesis and the book of Genesis concludes with the conclusion of the story of Joseph. So, what we have started at the very beginning, right, when we started on January 1st, the first words of the Bible were, “in the beginning.” So, we started at the beginning, we got a glimpse of how things were always intended to be for us. We saw how that got blown apart. We saw separation from God be introduced into the human story and then we watched humans try to use the knowledge of good and evil to essentially glorify themselves so that they could be their own God, which is what the serpent essentially tried to promise them, but we watched that disintegrate and fall apart completely until everyone's heart was evil and the world was flooded, which took us to the story of Noah. As we continued to journey forward, we met a man named Abram whose…his name was changed to Abraham and he entered into a covenant with God. God selected Abram changed his name to Abraham and then said, “I'm starting over with you. I'm going to create a people set apart unto me on this earth among all of the other people who bear my image, but who have rejected me and embraced separation. Through you. I'm going to create a people set apart as mine and through you will be the light to the world and all the nations will be blessed.” So, in other words God’s saying, “we’ve tried a few things but this knowledge of good and evil inside the heart of man is corrupting him utterly. So, I'm going to create a people of my own through Abram, Abraham. So, Abraham didn’t have any kids. We know that. He had a child in his old age, the son of promise named Isaac. And we went through all of that story. Isaac then had sons, Jacob and Esau. We went through that story of conniving and deception by Jacob and it certainly was revisited upon him. He did reap what he sowed but in the end Jacob's name became Israel. Alright. And, so, his children then are the children of Israel of which Joseph was one of them. And Joseph was trafficked into Egypt as we know. But that is how the children of Israel got to Egypt. And, so, we close Genesis at that point. Now we’re about to pick up the second book of the Bible.
And Exodus picks up this very same story, we’re just moving centuries into the future as we pick it up. So, these original children of Israel, the actual children who became tribes of Israel had...had certainly died. We’re centuries into the future, but their offspring had flourished in Egypt. They had become as numerous as the stars in the heavens, which is what God promised Abraham. But this flourishing that was happening was happening in Egypt and we’re centuries in the future and Joseph is forgotten and the Egyptians began to fear the numbers of the Hebrews and to fear their loyalty. So, like I said, Joseph's forgotten and they don't necessarily remember that he had saved them from devastation centuries in the past. So, Israel's children were enslaved. And the new Pharaoh of Egypt wanted to curb and control the explosion of population among the Hebrews. So, his version of population control was to demand that the Hebrew midwives would literally…would throw every boy, every baby boy that was born into the Nile River and the girls could live. And this…this, among other things certainly cause the Hebrew people, the children of Israel, Jacob's children, they cried out to God. And there was a baby and he was a boy and he was supposed to be thrown into the Nile River, but instead he was…he was put into the Nile River in a basket and then his little sister kinda watched from a distance to kinda watch out for him while he's technically in the Nile River. But he's being saved. This little boy's name is Moses and we will be journeying with Moses for quite a while. And as it turns out, this little basket that had this little baby in it was discovered by the daughter of Pharaoh and he was given the name Moses. And, so, he was a Hebrew who had been raised as an Egyptian and we will watch that story unfold as we now begin the second look at the Bible, the book of Exodus.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You, we thank You, we thank You for Your word and we thank You for bringing us these 25 days into this new year all the way to the last weekend of this first month. And we acknowledge, time, it moves by quickly, but as we established this rhythm, it strengthens us, it encourages us, it gives us wisdom for the road ahead. And, so, we thank You for all that You've done in our lives as we’ve journey through the book of Genesis, all that You are doing as we move through the first Gospel of Matthew. And we invite Your Holy Spirit as we release this week into our history and look forward to the next, that we would be aware of Your presence in all things. Come Holy Spirit we pray. In the name of Jesus, we ask. Amen.

Community Prayer and Praise:
Hi Daily Audio Bible listeners my name is Brent. I was encouraged to call by Ben from Ohio. I’m the guy that’s been on the fence from calling in. Anyway, I’ve been listening to the Daily Audio Bible for eight years. I’ve been a Christian since I was a young child and I talk to God all day long every day but I struggle from an addiction to prescription pain medicine that I used to take for my back but I now take for the euphoric feeling that I used to feel before I built up a tolerance. So, I end up taking too many and running out two weeks before my refill is due, and it’s been a vicious cycle and has destroyed my marriage. I’m still married but my wife and I don’t talk very much anymore, and I need deliverance from this stronghold. And I ask that you will pray that God will free me from this bondage. That’s about it. Thank you.
While happy new year family this is Biola calling from Maryland. I actually had to call even though I’m recovering from tooth surgery and my cheek looks as if a chipmunk hid a nut or two in it. Pray for me when you think of me for full recovery. But I had to call in because I heard Kimberly, Yvonne, and Victoria Soldier. I had to call into pray for you. Kimberly I am so sorry for what you’ve gone through. Father Lord I pray for Your daughter. You are the one that comforts oh God Lord and heels. I pray that You will heal Kimberly completely oh God emotionally oh God Lord Father even spiritually. I pray that You will give her a heart oh God even to forgive these people oh God and release them even though I know it’s very difficult. But Lord You said oh God Lord that when we do forgive its freeing. Father God I pray that You will heal her from PTSD in the name of Jesus. Father every part oh God that the devil is using to harass this woman oh God Father I put a stop to it right now and I command it to cease and desist in the name of Jesus set her free Lord. In Jesus name give us her sleep oh God in the name of Jesus. Yvonne…Yvonne my sister I heard Your prayer request regarding Your children. You know it is comforting what happened to the prodigal son. The prodigal son’s dad just kept waiting, waiting proudly praying for him and that is a picture of our Lord. You are not responsible for their choices, but I know as a mother myself I know how You feel. So, keep praying for them. Father Lord I pray that You will draw Yvonne’s children back to You. Arrest their hearts oh God Lord in the name of Jesus. Father let them turn their way even from darkness back into light in the name of Jesus. Lastly Victoria soldier so sorry for Your cousin. I pray that God will comfort You in Your loss in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Good morning Daily Audio Bible community I just wanted to call and pray for Brian this morning. This is Darby in Georgia. And Brian I just…I was thinking about meeting today in Genesis 39 and I think it’s verse 22 or 23 where God just he…he was with Joseph. It’s all about Joseph and being put in prison. And I think with depression and anxiety you can feel as if you’re in a prison, that you’re in a pit. But Joseph lived as if God was with him because he was. And at that right time God brought him out of the pit and raised him up so that he could not only be free of that but also be a blessing to many others. And I just pray today that God would give you hope, that God would fill you with a sense of his nearness even though you said you feel like He’s far from you, He is not. And I know I’m not the only one that’s been provoked by just your hopelessness today. I just pray that God would just give you a sense through His Holy Spirit that He is near to you, He is not far. And God, fill him with hope, fill Brian with hope and let him choose to live this day as if You were with him. Give him direction, give him wisdom, and surround him with others Lord who will help to fill him with hope and to see You and to raise his head up and look for You and find You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Hi this is Linda calling from Folsom California and I’m a first-time caller and wanted to call. Today’s date is 1/19 and I just listened to the prayers for today and I’ve been meeting to call for a long time. I’ve been a listener for about five years. And Ben, I’m just going to thank you and do a callout for pushing us to call because I’d wanted to call again today and your prayer of “just call” has…has prompted this. So, I thank you but today I’m really calling about Brian. My brother, I heard your prayer today. I heard your anguish and feeling depression and problems in your marriage and lack of memory and I just want you to know you’re not alone. I...it’s been for me about 15 - 20 years, that I had to because of my depression have a ECT which…that’s the electroconvulsive shock therapy. And, so, since then I have suffered not only the disease of bipolar but with lack of…loss of memory and how frustrating. I do know…I do know what that feels like and I want you to know how much God loves you and it can be frustrating but continue in the blood of Christ. Remember how much He loves you and wants to be with you. Let Him…let Him and don’t shoot Him…don’t shut Him out by telling Him that you don’t feel Him. He loves you. He is inside of you. I also want to do a shout out that I am praying for Diana and Burning Bush. That was such great news. Welcome with your citizenship and I’m so glad to hear about your sister. Love you all.
Hi Daily Audio Bible this is Kylie calling from Brooklyn New York. I’m a first-time caller. I’ve been listening since 2018. I just…I heard some calls today. I’m reaching out for new listeners who haven’t called in before and I was super touched, and I was grinning really widely on the train. So, I just wanted to say that this community has been a family to me since I stepped foot into it in October. Even just by listening I have been met in places I never thought I could be met in by this community. So, thank you. It’s like a hug every day listening to you. Be well and talk soon.
Good evening DABbers this is Running Desperately to Jesus calling for you Diana. I have started and stopped calling on the prayer line so many times because I feel I don’t know what to say to you but then God let me know that you need to her know by His stripes you are healed. To be healed down here on earth or in eternity, but the ultimate is that you are going to be healed. Your boys will be taken care of. God has them in the palm of His hand. He will honor your request because you have been faithful to Him Diana. You have been faithful, you have taken His word and made it into rhymes and poems so that it…it touches everyone’s heart. Your legacy is here. Your boys will be taken care of. Diana, we love you, I love you. I desire to see you in person. I don’t…I don’t know what else to say. My heart wants to cry but at the same time I’m happy because I know that this whole thing, cancer does not have dominion over you. I love you Diana. Running Desperately to…
Hello, my name is Claire and I’m calling from Canada. I am a longtime listener and first-time collar. I just want to say that I’ve been praying for everybody all these years. Everybody I hear call in, I pray with you and I’m just glad that you guys do call in. I did want to mention the guy that was running, that he just started listening as a podcast. I thought that…just…it made me so happy to hear that because I pray for the salvation and that people would start listening to the Daily Audio Bible all the time. And anyways, I want to call in because I have a friend and this is probably running prevalent through a lot of people’s lives, but I had a friend that’s been injured, he’s had crones for many years. We’ve been friends for 20 years and he’s really suffered. He is a believer but it’s the crones, they ended up putting him on painkillers when he went through surgery and after that he became addicted to them. And anyways, he’s living with my mother now and we’re trying to get him into detox and the enemy really has, you know, a grip on him emotionally and spiritually and I just, you know, want to ask, you know, everybody to please pray for him as, you know, he is really fighting a battle and, you know…I’m sorry but it’s just, you know, I don’t…I…I really want to see him healed once and for all. And just so you know I’m praying for all the people that are dealing with sicknesses and cancer right now and all these kinds of things. I am standing in prayer with all of you as well. So…I didn’t want to cry or anything but be blessed everyone and thank you for this podcast. It’s an amazing gift to my day. Thank you. Bye for now.
Hello Daily Audio Bible community I’m calling in today because I just listened this morning and Ben from Columbus Ohio encouraged those of us who have been reticent to call in to just get on it and do it. And, so, here I am. I’m going into my 10th year with the Daily Audio Bible and I’ve been praying for all of you this whole time, just never called in myself. But I just wanted to share a praise report. Over the last…some of the things you’ve shared with me and my wife of the last 10 years even though you didn’t know you were sharing them with us, you were. So, we’re both soldiers in the U.S. Army and the last 10 years both of our children were born. We’ve done seven moves, we’ve done 23 month-long training deployments, we’ve done two combat deployments between two of us. We’ve done two noncombat deployments between the two of us. The year before this last job I’ve had I did 190 days on business travel over that one year. We did to master’s degrees and then we both got selected to command at the next level. Her unit that’s about 4000 people, mine is about 600…well 640 exactly today. I am currently on one of those noncombat deployments right now. And here comes…that was the praise report, here comes the prayer request. Reintegration with my family, looking at that in about 30 days. I’ve spent a lot of time away from them training and being deployed over the last 3 to 4 years and I need to be the person they need me to be. I need them…I need them to just see Jesus through my actions when we get back under the same roof. So, that’s…sometimes it’s more difficult coming back from all that time separated and living apart but just help when we’re back together and living under the same roof together. All right. I love you all. Thanks.

1D Day: Hour Four
Over the past few years, I’ve seen people try to insinuate that Zayn wasn’t into 1D Day, that he was moody or distant or some other adjective that implies he was on his way out the door, and to those people I ask, did you actually watch any of this, especially hour four? I mean, seriously, watch Zayn over the course of the whole day, but hour four is a revelation if you’ve ever had that notion. He’s witty, charming, happy, smiley, completely on board with every stupid game, and so professional with the fans and the rest of the team that he makes Liam look like an asshole (and Liam is so very far from being an asshole, like, ever).
In fact, both Zayn and Liam are naturals as hosts; they’re a dream broadcasting team, and for all the (justified, mind you) attitude Louis and (especially) Harry throw down as the day progresses, it’s the complete polar opposite with Ziam. I could watch hours and hours of these two because they manage to convey that fake on-air TV personality chirpiness with a sincerity that’s endlessly compelling. They’re also off-the-charts HOT on this here day (Louis, too, but Jesus CHRIST have mercy on us in hour four). Let’s break it down under the cut.
Hour four kicks off with Zayn and Liam skateboarding onto the set, and Liam is honestly me with his plaintive “I’m really rubbish at skateboarding” as he basically stands on a board that somebody literally pushed in a straight line into the shot.
Zayn’s all excited that this is his first hour (like, he’s literally pumped up for it, and some could argue that he’s as coked up as Harry appears to be, but he’s not as aggressive, he just seems legit happy to be there). Liam’s an old pro by now, and the general mood is positive and calm, in spite of the mega fuckups in hour three and the immediate in-ear issues they’re both already experiencing. Help, they're so hot:
Tumblr media
The first segment is about invention ideas from fans, and joining them in the Google+ Hangout (lmaoooo) is Peter Jones (Liam: “a very rich man”) from Dragon’s Den, aka the UK’s Shark Tank, and for all of his cash and presumably all of the D’s, this feels VERY low rent. Way to sell this Google ad, team…maybe that’s why Google+ is a total failure, hmmmm, makes you think. Anyway, the first invention is a 1D Kube, and noah fence to this fan, I’ve made better merch, c’mon, people think outside the box:
Tumblr media
Because Peter’s gross, he suggests using nude body parts of the boys instead of their faces, and me as Liam, completely creeped out by that suggestion. The next idea is a 1D pillow, where you go to sleep, and the pillow pipes two 1D songs directly into your brain before powering itself off, but Liam wisely says this might be more distracting than soothing. Peter’s right there with the idea that it should instead offer up soothing pillowtalk (Zayn, take notes!), which instantly worries both me and Liam because it’s weirdly sexi instead of sexy sexi.
The final invention is fart pants, which boils down to deodorized boxers for people like Niall who practically shit themselves when they fart in closed tour buses (paraphrasing). Naturally, Peter likes this idea a LOT, and asks Liam a low-key invasive question about someone stealing his underwear, which leads to a riveting tale of the missing pants and a nervous Liam asking Peter exactly how he knew about this incident. Peter laughs it off as something he found online to embarrass Liam with, but try harder, asshole…they answer worse questions than this before breakfast.
Next, we get Julian “I can’t bother to find out how to spell his last name,” one of the D’s cowriters, in a cringe VT about picking up girls with 1D lyrics. It’s so fucking gross that only Ben Winston could have come up with it, and it goes on FOREVER, even though nothing about it is interesting or cute or witty or anything other than tedious yikes for the women involved. Even Julian knows it’s creepy, and he seems like a guy who’s pretty comfortable with creepy.
We get back in the studio to some actually attractive people who have chemistry together, and, no, it’s not Julian and John “I can’t bother to find out how to spell his last name either” (they make sure to sit far enough apart to maintain their extreme masculinity):
Tumblr media
Liam has some good interview questions for these two, such as, “What’s your favorite song that you wrote on for this album,” and John thinks he’s clever by saying it’s both “Little Black Dress” and “Little White Lies,” but the real gem here is the audio of Liam creating “Better Than Words” out of thin air. Look at this fondness while we all listen to Liam’s genius (it’s kind of embarrassing, this whole bit):
Tumblr media
We move to fan selfies, and Liam does a terrible Irish accent to request potato selfies for Niall. Moving on to the call box of doom, the two Larries currently rocking out in there seem to dig “Strong” the best (as you do), and Zayn, valiantly battling someone in his ears, politely whispers, “You can crack on listening,” before shutting the door softly.
The VT of randomness from New Zealand prompts Liam to ask, “Zayn, what did you get up to in New Zealand?” (the answer is getting a snake tattoo that’s one of Liam’s favorites on him, in case you’re wondering). But before we can ponder any of that too closely, it’s time for opera singer Rebecca to return for the excruciating opera version of tweets.
Scott’s on the scene to point out the obvious, i.e., Ziam makes it all look so easy, but this next segment is not for the faint of heart. The boys have to blindfold each other (!!) and then feel up crew members to see if they can identify them. Whyyyyy is this so tender:
Tumblr media
Someone else blindfolds Liam after he does Zayn (Liam, after it’s done: “Nobody touch me”), and there’s a brief moment where they can feel each other, and Zayn says, “That’s you, Liam,” and fuckkkk me up, wowwww, it’s a lot to take in:
Tumblr media
Anyway, they go on to feel up a lot of doughy white guys to see if they can blindly identify them, and AGAIN, it’s gross because Scott keeps encouraging them to feel this person up below the waist, too (note, they don’t know if it’s a guy or a girl). Fortunately, it’s a parade of doughy white guys until they get to Lou Teasdale, and Zayn identifies her immediately because she’s so fidgety.
We head over to another Google Hangout, and god, words cannot express how good Ziam is at this because even though the same shit happens here as it does in the last hour, these two handle it all like pros. I live for Zayn’s, “Have you been watching the whole show? Are we doing a good job?” with an intense amount of sincerity, and thank god these girls give him the thumbs up because they truly are.
My fave part of this segment is the girls who ask them what their first CD and concerts were. Liam says Linkin Park for CD and Gareth Gates for concert, which earns him boos from the homophobes in the studio, but warm hugs from me. Zayn, who answers this fan question to Liam instead of the girls who asked it, says he can’t remember his first CD, but his first gig was JLS with the boys, and wow, the first date realness here:
Tumblr media
Zayn’s genuinely sweet throughout all of these fan segments, asking questions and being invested in the answers, dawwww. The last question is about where they get the inspiration for their dance moves, and Liam says he blags its, but Zayn is here to kill us all by saying, “My inspiration for dancing comes from you, Liam (Louis in the background: “hahahahaha”) because you’re such a good dancer,” and god, I’m not ready for this right now, tbh.
There’s a BSE VT from the fans before a bingo spin to figure out who to follow (again, just follow them all, what does it even matter at this point, ratcha fratcha). But the most annoying part of this bit is that even *I* can hear the in-air buzz of chatter from Ben’s team, so I cannot even imagine how annoying it is in actual ears, holy fuck.
Next up is a live link to Finland, to say hello to the fans who created a massive fanbook that Zayn carefully flips through and sincerely thanks everyone for creating. The VT he introduces next is Louis playing footie, and YES, look at this angel who’s only 22:
Tumblr media
Naturally, there are LOADS of technical problems and fuckups, but it’s so refreshing to hear that “hahahahaha” in a massive, empty arena, and to see him practicing a sport he clearly loves.
We’re back with the poor bastards running the Guinness Book of World Records, this time with Liam’s ass smashing balloons (Zayn: “If he wins, do we get our names put down as well?”). The first time is a bust (ha) that ends up hurting Liam’s balls (how, I don’t know):
Tumblr media
Everyone agrees they can do better, but Zayn’s not having any further fuckups as he literally coaches Sandy in the background about how best to hold the balloons so that Liam’s ass can smash them in the most efficient manner:
Tumblr media
Sadly, it’s not enough to smash the record, much to everyone’s chagrin, but there’s no time to fret or redo, we're off to Stan teaching Zayn’s school to sing (ooops, the VT is incorrect, it’s Scott teaching the X Factor staff to sing “What Makes Your Beautiful,” and they’re the shittiest singers ever, so go off on judging people, I guess).
As per usual, the highlights are fucking horrific. Can’t wait for hour five!

The tale of a summer love - Part 2
For the “friends to lovers” trope, a Stydia AU
Part 1
Lydia likes Sheriff Stilinski very much. He’s been like a father to her ever since her own left her and her mother to fend for themselves five years ago, having decided that his other family was more important.
The Sheriff is kind, Lydia thinks, and she enjoys spending time with him. Of course, with Stiles too. Sometimes she wonders how strange it is that they’ve all become a family so easily, the Stilinskis and the Martins. And the McCalls, of course. There’s no forgetting Stiles’ other best friend, Scott.
They’ve been an inseparable trio for three years now, ever since – and much like with Lydia – Scott saw his father abandon him. Unlike what happened to the Martins, however, the McCalls saw Raphael leave them in favor of his job, and so Scott and his mother, a lovely lady named Melissa, moved to small town Beacon Hills, California, where the nurse had first worked after graduating.
Lydia was Stiles’ best friend first, but Scott fit right in with them as if it was meant to be. Lydia doesn’t think, even, that she’s ever been this happy in her life before.
Or well, at least until recently.
Her thoughts are interrupted by her mother, who gently grabs her upper arm to catch Lydia’s attention. Lydia notices now that their car has stopped and that they’re already in front of the Stilinskis’ household.
“Honey,” her mother says, but her heart is too heavy at the moment to properly hear it. “Are you ready?”
Is she ready to help her best friend mourn the loss of his mother? Lydia doesn’t know what to say, so she doesn’t say anything. She opens the passenger door and gets out of the car instead.
The cold breeze that can be felt does nothing to appease the mid-July heat, and Lydia finds herself scorching under the blazing sun. It’s her mother who ushers her from the spot, an arm protectively draped around Lydia’s shoulders urging her to move forward.
Contrary to what’s happened every single time they’ve been there before Claudia’s passing two weeks ago, this time there’s no Stilinski coming to meet them at the door. Instead, Natalie lets herself in using the spare key that is not so wisely hidden under a vase by the front door, and the house feels so devoid of life as they enter that both Martin girls stand still for a moment, and it isn’t until they hear sobs coming from the kitchen that they move.
They spring to action, finding the Sheriff sitting on the floor and sagging against the cupboards as the man hugs his knees to his chest. It startles ten-year-old Lydia; she has never seen a grown man cry before and knowing that Stiles’ father, someone who is so dear to her, is hurting makes the pain in her own chest press harder.
“Oh, Noah…” Her mother says, immediately kneeling on the floor beside her friend. Lydia stays rooted on the spot, mostly unresponsive. She watches as her mother comforts the Sheriff until the crying subsides, and the man – who always looked so sure of himself to young Lydia – is reduced to pure heartbreak and lack of will to breathe.
He doesn’t get up and neither does her mother, and Lydia feels useless in that moment, knowing that nothing she can do will help ease the man’s pain.
But maybe, just maybe she can ease her friend’s.
As if reading her mind, her mother looks up and meets Lydia’s eyes, whispering to her as if raising her tone would hurt the man further. “Honey, why don’t you go ahead and find Stiles?”
Lydia nods apprehensively and starts making her way to her best friend’s bedroom but the Sheriff’s voice, broken and almost inaudible, stops her. “He’s outside, by the tree house,” he murmurs, not quite looking Lydia in the eyes. “He’s always by the tree house now.”
The young redhead nods once more, her hair - shorter now than when she met Stiles for the first time - grazing her shoulders as she turns around in the opposite direction to the Stilinskis’ backyard.
She walks with renewed vigor when she sees him, very much like his father sitting against the tree that embellishes the farther side of their property, by the back fence. Lydia has always thought of Stiles as a lanky boy, but she doesn’t think he’s ever seemed so small before, and it isn’t until Lydia calls for him that Stiles notices her presence.
“Stiles?,” she asks in a whisper, only loud enough for him to hear. Mimicking her mother, Lydia kneels on the grass beside him, unsure of whether to touch him.
His eyes are pleading but Lydia doesn’t know what for, not until she notices how his breathing is coming out in sharp gasps, his pretty cheeks stained with tears.
“Stiles, look at me,” Lydia utters, recognizing the episode as one of his panic attacks. She didn’t even know what to do about such a thing until Stiles started having them about a year ago when Claudia first fell ill, and nine-year-old Lydia had been very determined to learn all that she could about it at the time so that she could help her friend. Taking Stiles’ hands in her own and squeezing, as if wanting to give him something to feel and to ground himself to, Lydia slows her breathing and waits until his stare focuses on the way her shoulders rise and fall with each breath, until his breathing matches hers and he’s calmer, more alert.
His cheeks are red with the effort and his chest is still heaving a little when Lydia speaks. “Hi,” she tells him, heart beating wild in her chest from the scare as she leans against the tree and lets herself sit properly against it.
Stiles lets out a measured, shaky breath and takes his time, closing his eyes for a moment under Lydia’s worried gaze before responding. “Hi,” he murmurs weakly, and Lydia’s throat burns with the urge to cry herself.
Glancing at him off the corner of her eye, Lydia regrettably notices how, despite having only been two weeks since the funeral, Stiles doesn’t look like a ten-year-old boy anymore. What happened weighs on him and wears him down, making him look older, and Lydia wishes that she could miraculously fix it.
If only she knew how…
“I’m sorry,” she hears, and Lydia can’t believe the words came out of his mouth.
“What for?”
“For scaring you.”
Five years into their friendship and he can still surprise her. Despite having a very energetic, spirited, and opinionated personality most of the time - one that somehow mingles beautifully with her own -, and in spite of their young age, Lydia has already learned that Stiles can be a very giving person to those he truly cares about. And sometimes it amazes Lydia to know just how much at that.
Like now. He’s suffering because he lost his mother and he’s been having panic attacks every other hour almost, and still he’s worried that he’s scared her.
This boy…
Lydia shakes her head dismissively. She’s more concerned about him. “You okay?”
Stiles only shrugs his shoulders in response.
They sit together in silence then, for what seems like hours on end until Mrs. McCall comes find them in the backyard, Scott at her heels, having just arrived.
“There you are,” the woman says in way of greeting when she meets them, a kind smile on her lips. “Stiles, honey, have you eaten today?”
He responds all too quickly with yes but Lydia can tell that that’s not the whole truth, if the way he’s fidgeting in his lap is any indication. He likely doesn’t want to give anyone any trouble, and thankfully Melissa knows best than to take him up on his word. “Have you eaten anything that hasn’t come from a plastic bag?”
“I’m not hungry,” Stiles mumbles, and Lydia knows that he’s lying by the way he chews the words as if he’s afraid to say them out loud.
“Well, though luck, kid. You are going to eat,” she tells him, crouching in front of him and gently patting his knee. If the woman’s words seem harsh, Melissa’s tone is warm and soft. She’s trying to get him to react, Lydia knows, like they’ve all been doing for the Stilinski boys these past couple of weeks. “Why don’t I make you that omelet that you like so much?,” she suggests, one of her hands affectionately raking through Stiles’ hair.
His head moves along with the caress and Stiles sighs, and Lydia imagines that he’s probably thinking of his mother and how much he misses her. His eyes are teary again when he shrugs noncommittally, not having all that much fight left in him.
“Okay, kiddo. I’ll get right on it and call you when it’s ready, how does that sound?” Stiles doesn’t say anything and for a moment Melissa’s eyes soften at how lost he looks. Lydia thinks she knows exactly how the older woman feels. “Just stay here with Scott and Lydia, okay?” Still no response. “How about you guys do something while I make dinner? It would do you good to get up and stretch your legs.”
When Stiles still doesn’t say anything, something makes Lydia look up. It’s a strange feeling, as if something is trying to let her in on a secret, trying to guide her through the motions. And as Lydia looks up at the rays of sunlight that dance when the foliage of the tree moves with the soft breeze, an idea comes to mind, and somehow she thinks it might be exactly what Stiles needs. “We could go up to the treehouse.”
She can tell that Melissa is not so sure about it. After all, neither of the kids have been up there yet, not since…
“I don’t know…” Is all that Stiles says about it, sounding defeated.
All Lydia hears is that his response wasn’t a no. “I think it would be nice,” Melissa inputs before Lydia can, and the redhead nods fiercely to her words.
Scott takes a step closer to them and nods too, extending his hand to Stiles. “Yeah, Stiles. Come on. We’ll go with you,” he offers, motioning between himself and Lydia. “We’ll be with you until the very top.”
Stiles is unsure, Lydia can tell, so she touches his hand lightly and speaks softly, smiling a little in a way to encourage him. “Your mom wanted that treehouse for you, Stiles. She nagged your dad about it for months until he finally gave in, just so that you could have a place closer to the stars like you always wanted.” Stiles’ lips tilt up a little at that, so Lydia continues. “Even though it was finished in time, I know that we didn’t get the chance to try it out before…” Stiles takes a sharp intake of breath, knowing what she means, but Lydia squeezes his hand in reassurance. “She was always saying how much she wanted you to get up there this summer. Your mother would have wanted you to enjoy it, no matter where she is to watch you do it.”
There’s silence for a moment as Stiles ponders it, and he must consider that maybe it’s okay because he takes Scott’s still outstretched hand and gets up, pulling Lydia along with him. Shy as Lydia has ever seen him, Stiles glances at all three of them and nods before looking up, taking in the beautiful view of the late afternoon sky that peeks through the leaves high up.
Mrs. McCall ruffles his hair again, lingering for just a moment too long. “You three be careful, alright? I’ll call you when it’s time to eat.”
Leaving them to it, she heads inside. Scott steps closer to the tree and pats it fondly, looking at his best friend with warmth in his eyes. “You first.”
Stiles still wavers, looking at Lydia. She nudges his shoulder awkwardly, a blush creeping up her cheeks because this is as much of a reaction as she’s seen from him these past few weeks, months even, and all she wants is for him to get better and be happy again. “Go on. We’re right behind you.”
Lydia and Scott watch as Stiles eyes the tree with apprehension first, then reverence as he takes a deep breath, his knuckles rasping against it before he firmly grabs onto one of the improvised steps and pulls himself up, starting to climb. Only when he’s at the very top does Scott follow him, leaving Lydia to be the last one to get to know the inside of the treehouse they’ve all been so hyped about for so long now.
It’s beautiful in its simplicity, Lydia thinks, much like how she remembers Mrs. Stilinski. There’s not much inside and the room is just big enough for the three of them to comfortable sit and stand and play around as they please. There’s a colorful rug on the floor and small squares of what Lydia knows to be one of Stiles’ old sheets that make for pretend curtains on the four windows, one on each side of the room. There’s a blackboard in one of the walls and a small shelf with a few books and toys for them to entertain themselves, three large pillows and blankets in one of the corners. Outside one of the windows there’s a bucket attached to a pulley system that Mrs. Stilinski thought the kids could use whenever they wanted to either get something up or down from the treehouse. From the base of the treehouse, a swing that had had Lydia so excited about has lied untouched until now.
Just standing inside their new safe haven has all three of them looking around, mesmerized. The whole place feels homey and warm, like Mrs. Stilinski herself, and it’s as if they have stepped inside somewhere sacred. Lydia can only hope she’s made the right decision in suggesting they do this.
Stiles stares at one of the bare walls with glistening eyes, raising his hand to feel it beneath his skin. Scott and Lydia look at each other without saying a word, knowing that their friend is experiencing something that they can’t really begin to understand, not quite in the same way anyway.
Startling them, Stiles closes the hatch door and picks up one of the pillows, lying down on the floor and making himself comfortable. Scott and Lydia follow his lead after a moment or two, unsure of what their friend is doing, but Lydia’s sense of pride for how strong her best friend is and how he’s dealing with this has a smile on her lips that she has a hard time keeping to herself.
“I can almost feel her,” Stiles thinks out loud after a minute, all three of them already sprawled on the floor every each way like they’ve always done in their sleepovers, and for a moment it’s like nothing much has changed in the past year. “I like it here,” he says peacefully, and Lydia has never enjoyed being right so much.
“Me too,” Scott and Lydia say in unison, and they all smile at the ceiling, that they have noticed has Christmas lights all over, probably to resemble the stars in the sky when lit, another gift from Claudia to the son that she loved so much.
Lydia doesn’t know how much time passes them by. She can see through the window closest to her that the sky has started to darken, and she wonders what’s taking Mrs. McCall so long when she realizes that maybe she and her mother are tending to a grieving Sheriff instead, giving both Stilinski men some time for themselves before imposing any further by taking care of them and their house for them.
She’s almost dozing off herself – Scott had given in, she’d noticed, minutes ago, when silence was all that could be heard except for faraway noises from the street – when Stiles grabs ahold of her hand and turns his head to her.
She thought he was almost falling asleep himself, he’s been so tired but his eyes, his beautiful eyes seem to shine with gratitude when he whispers “Thank you”, and there are no more words needed between them. Lydia can do nothing but scoot closer to him and rest her head beside his until someone calls them all inside an half hour later, and for the life of her she can’t tear her eyes away from him for a second, and she has a feeling that they’re right where they should be.

i have made it.... i can watch the first episode of season threeeee.
i might do one episode a day to make it feel like less time until s4 comes out.
here we goooo
no new intro pffffff
red space best space
the beep noise kinda sounds like a heart monitor.
allura my girl <3
good speech coran
that’s a lot of blades are they like the shock troops for voltron now? are they robotic?
WE ARE FIGHTING DREAMERS TAKAMI WO MEZASHITE
another sick slow mo shot for lance (he looks like seasick after tho with all those blue lines)
THAT’S MY MAN HUNK
slightly less impressive alien designs like just spikes and doggie ears but at least they’re colourful.
‘oh hunk!’ joke counter: 1
wait so how long has it been since season 2 then bc kolivan seems surprised to learn that they can’t form voltron anymore like dude you know this right?? you should’ve had the ‘this cannot stand!!’ thing before this mission i think??
i feel like this suspicion towards the blades is not going to end well.
why do i feel like pidge hasn’t slept for weeks.
ARE THOSE KAMINA GLASSES CORAN
noah fence pidge but i don’t think matt would be happy to know you weren’t safe at home with mum just sayin
‘oh hunk!’: 2
keeeith ;A; TELL US HOW HE MET SHIRO I WANNA KNOW
HAGGAR BABE
“but he totally needs me looming over him it’s not creepy”
oOOH NEW GIRL. and she can stealthmode interesting.
i don’t think this counts as an oh hunk moment cooking is good encouraging boys to cook is good. (i know the #discourse on professional/celebrity chefs skewing male and shit but like for normal kids it’s a life skill that isn’t taught enough and especially to boys so yeah)
just... a galaxy? that is a v. small empire like i know galaxies are Huge but you could try harder zarkon sargeras has most of the universe down or on his side at this point along with like all the gods who created it (until they need a filler raid/instance boss lol).
fuck i should write my au thoughts on a warcraft crossover at some point i want some poor unlucky galra soldiers to crash into ice crown and find out why you don’t want to build anything out of saronite. i want allura (and coran) to meet velen and they can connect to him as a fellow leader escaping genocide and i want pidge and hunk to lose their minds at all the magi-tech and gnome vs goblin technology ‘war’. idk what lance and keith would do i guess keith would see if there’s any blacksmiths on azeroth who might’ve encountered a blade like his although he’s kind of the spelunking exploring type i bet either the explorer’s league or the reliquary would happily poach him to check out titan ruins. lance would probably... idk my first instinct is that he’d head to goldshire on the basis of considering himself a Cool Dude with an interest in cute girls but he’d probably take two selfies right at the front door to the inn and then immediately leave and spend the night sat by the lake feeding murlocs.
did i mention that some of my favourite aliens were the ones who had organic bodies and robotic voices or was it vice versa either way more of those please.
well keith’s not wrong tbh. tone’s harsh but he’s lost like The Most Important person in the world to him so i can’t blame him for getting upset. like also this dude asks to see voltron like he’s asking to see the new wheels on his coworker’s car or something.
and like. they do need to fight for themselves too like the symbol can live forever but even before they could form voltron it couldn’t be everywhere at once. voltron’s a robot he rusts and corrodes probably one day he will need to go to a space garage for his MOT or to fix his tail light and everyone will have to take care of themselves for a while.
so public opinion of haggar is not good if these two highly ranked generals are chitchatting in a galran sports bar.
exiled? lotor what did you do.
‘he fights alongside his men and isn’t entirely racist ugh what a twat’
(i’m not denying that he’s a twat because look at his fucking design and ‘permitting’ conquered worlds to live in pretty much the same way as they did pre-conquering was exactly what gengis khan did to keep control of his territories iirc i’m just saying these guys sound so petty hahaha)
he’s prettyyyy. fucking shit goddamnit. i hope you have beefy friends for me to love bc i have enough problematic prettyboy faves.
(fuckin give me some problematic prettygirl girls and beefy girls one day all i have for the latter is jasper and all i have for the former is sylvanas)
got that kingly presence i’ll give him th WHAT WAIT NO. WARCRAFT ORCS. LIKE ALL THIS HONOR IN COMBAT AND MIGHT = RIGHT AND HOW BEING A SNEAKY BINT IS SHITTY ETC ETC. dude heralds the warsong.
lotor you better not start any mak’goras i’ll be watching you.
(i’ll stop with the warcraft now)
(that’s a lie)
DREAMWORKS... HOW DID YOU KNOW...
hey invisigirl
can’t tell if the cat’s the general with their meat puppet or a cool faceless alien or an alien with a mask
youuuuu look like keith. like dead to rights that’s styled hair blue keith with lipstick.
lotor is possibly the most anime of the whole cast at this point.
he’s got lines under his eyes like he just wants to go to bed and honestly #mood
oh you sneaky bitch lotor. now how did he meet those four i wonder they seem to like him on a personal level given by the smiles. like they’re all stated to be half-galra kinda. so our options are the unpleasant garona halforcen-esque one which makes the galra Really Fucked Up (probably not) or the lotor style conquering which is Still Kinda Fucked Up (this one is the discourse bait and a little more likely) or like lotor tracks down civilian populations of galra on non-galra home planets that might not even know there’s a war going on all the way on the other side of the galaxy and recruit from there.
like say............... EARTH, MAYBE????????????
(LISTEN LOTOR MAKES A POINT OF STOCKING HIS TEAM WITH HALF GALRA PEOPLE.)
(KEITH IS HALF GALRA.)
(i’m just SAYIN.)
(d. do i ship lotor and keith. am i one of Those People. i mean i have my ot4 of keith/shay/allura/hunk which is The Best (and i’m literally the only person who ships that so my city now) but i’m allowed one incredibly shit ship per fandom right?)
(what is the ship name i hope it’s leith so i can make leaf puns but it might already be in use as an alternative to klance)
(can’t be as bad as jaina/garrosh right?????)
be still my heart is dreamworks going to let keith and lance have an emotional moment without immediately throwing a joke about it in afterwards?
... kinda? it’s a good step for lance but i don’t think it really helps keith out. like ‘oh man wasn’t shiro the best? now i didn’t know him anything like you did and i totally hero-worshipped him and i think this is what he’d think’.
allura gets it though good job a+ mirroring his words to pidge back when she tried to leave voltron too iirc.
new black paladin im not.... ready,.,.,.,.,..,,,.
