Ben wasn't much for candid discussions with perfect strangers -- least especially this particular one -- and the precise reason for this excursion made this all the more uncomfortable. Although literally any guard could (and should) take Clint out to make water, Ben was concerned that he might manage to overpower anyone else and escape. Ben had a hard time of letting people do their jobs (or at least, whenever he felt he was better suited for the role), so he'd lowered himself to this embarrassing position for hopefully just the next few minutes.

"Are you not familiar with Ecclesiastes 3:7?" he irritably asked. "There is 'a time to be silent and a time to speak.' And right now? Now is a time to be silent. I don't want to hear one word out of you."

Agitation mounting, Ben folded his arms as they came to a stop. "For the sake of argument, I'll answer your question -- with the expectation that you start cooperating, of course." He waved a hand. "You are crass, disrespectful, and entirely unfunny, no matter what you might think of your tedious quips."

Taking Clint by the arm, Ben gruffly turned him around and shoved him toward a tree. "Now go make water."
