God even now as an adult i get intimidated by the idea of exploring the whirlpool islands 💀 i can't even say why, but as a kid i hated the place, to the point i learned the quickest way to get to Lugia and leave without having to spend any extra second there

#Gui plays Pokemon HGSS #maybe it's related to my (possible) thalassophobia?#like the whole thing with exploring a huge labyrinthine cavern where you know a sea monster lives #idr if i knew Lugia was there when i played crytal originally so i can't say if i knew that aspect of it #the fact that it is super dark and easy to get lost there especially if you don't have an escape rope doesn't help for sure #looking it up on google i can't find posts by other people who find it scary maybe it's just me #and that's coming from an adventorous kid who wasn't scared by much when it comes to gaming #like for example i played a fuckton of mario 64 and i never found anything like the monster piano scary #and mario 64 is fucking infamous for being scary #so idk why that specifically scared me
