food banks where they bring the warm and slightly sticky produce out an hour early and just let a crowd of hungry people Descend upon it like vultures with bare unwashed hands: 0/10, bad, dehumanizing, illogical, chaotic
#personal#one woman grabbed three fucking pineapples before anyone else got their hands on a first one#anyway they have like packages of precut fruit in those plastic boxes#and obviously they've been jostled enough to start leaking#because everything is covered in semi-dried fruit juice#i actually put a bag of cucumbers back because some of them were rotting and pineapple lady gave me an incredulous look and grabbed them#a nice reminder that however bad the sitch is it could be worse. stay humble everybody
