Having your dog offlead in public settings, especially near roads and other dogs, is not a flex.

All it shows is an arrogance that you can control your dog in every possible situation.

Which is impossible.

Noone has that much control over their dog, not even a trainer or behaviourists.

They respect their dog and understand they can't predict everything they'll encounter on a walk. They use leads to ensure their dog is kept safe in public.

Leads protect dogs. Leads protect kids. Leads protect humans. Leads protect your own dog from being attacked or injured. Leads protect people driving nearby.

There is no excuse to not use a lead.
