Lucifer holding young Satan like "you hear that?

"It's coming. . . .

"Here it comes. . .!"

And the fucking catbus rounds the corner and little Satan GASPS and starts kicking and flailing and wagging his tail in excitement, doing the little excited baby screech because CAT!!!! CATBUS!!!!!!

And they're not getting on it or anything, it's just on the walk to wherever but Satan squeals and yells hi at it and waves and sometimes if it's picking somebody up at the bus stop Lucifer holds him up so he can pet it for a little while or it'll lick him before going on its way and it's THE BEST THING EVER as far as little Satan is concerned

Only way he'll calm down if Lucifer takes him anywhere is if a cat gets involved at some point. And the catbus, even if they don't get on it(because Lucifer REFUSES to take public transport does he LOOK like a commoner to you????) is one of the most convenient cats on the way to anywhere.

(the first time he gets to ride the catbus reminds him of the first time he learned Satan, still part of his head as an angel, just the developing voice of rage in his heart, liked cats. He's completely silent and still in his excitement. It's very odd and awkward because at that point Satan is still more Emotion than Person and ordinarily he's screeching and growling and hissing and yelling. But he gets to sit on the catbus and he just clams up and is calm he's practically not there at all it creeps Lucifer out but also he can tell Satan is happy.)
