grubsong is one of the best soul-gathering charms tbh
#my posts#gameblogging#liveblogging hollow knight#dreamwielder is slightly better in some situations#and soul eater gives you more soul overalll#but the notch cost and having to hit enemies for it is eh#the thing with grubsong is that it costs 1 notch#and you get 15 soul when you get hit#for reference hitting an enemy with the nail gives you 11 soul#h o w e v e r#when your main soul container is full and the soul goes into the reserves#one nail hit only gives you 6 soul#12 with soul eater#grubsong gives you 15 per getting hit no matter where the soul goes#i just realized this today and it blew my fucking mind#dreamwielder is still better in a lot of cases bc you get 66 soul#and you dont have to take dmg for it#but grubsong plus grubberfly's elegy gives you 25 soul per getting hit#THATS SO MUCH#it takes 33 to heal or cast a spell#but 24 if youre also using spell twister#im gonna have to try a build with this one day holy fuck#i fricking love getting more soul hhhhhhh
