current skill I'm working on is called 'stop it' where, once I start overthinking about my hobbies to the point of them not being fun, I stop them for a bit. it's not going great so far but we're working on it
#like. ok#by the time i start worrying about like. 'is this writing i am doing for fun too silly#or is it too derivative or is it too simple and am i doing the characters a disservice#and am i reducing them to a ship or tropes'#then usually it's time to stop writing for a bit!!!!! or interacting in fandom for the day as a whole tbh#bc i get sooo in my head about it even in casual conversation and shitposting#i worry so hard about everything and i need to remind myself like. hey. you're doing this for fun#and if it isn't being fun then just step away for a bit#if i had fun writing then people will have fun reading and that's all i care about#i just never wanna be that person people make posts about. i don't want to be the reason people hate fandom#but i also think i need to just get on a better meds schedule and play guitar for a bit skfhsdkfhsdkfhsdjfgd#bc then i worry that by even talking about it people will assume i'm some fandom crazed chronically online hermit#and tbh i can't win with my own brain! girl shut up not everyone hates you or looks down on your work#and if they do then that sucks for them and i can't control that#me: made friends by talking about ag pokeani. also me: what if people hate me for talking about ag pokeani
