here i need a place to dump my thoughts about F4 thailand (2021). 

Thyme being aggressive still, but not feeling like a caricature and showing his more tender side for Gorya. I just really love the dichotomy of him going from angry head honcho to sudden earnest silliness. Bright does such a great job capturing his expressions and gazes pointed at Gorya. 

The way Thyme’s mom is more integral to the plot rather than her appearing around (ch 99-100). You really get to see how she has her eyes everywhere on her children, ensuring Thyme isn’t straying from his future as an heir to a massive business. I just love how controlling and omnipotent she really is. It just makes her threats and appearances all the more gratifying and terrifying. She’s a major obstacle the two leads have to get over. 

I love how much more emotional and in your face he is in this adaption. He’s still forceful and aggressive but it’s done more.. tastefully I guess you could say. Still horrible to watch when he does plead to Gorya that I always make a face at how frantic and hurt he is.

Bright’s anger in episode 7, chef’s kiss. And the other scene in the later episode when Gorya calls his family to take him back. His acting is very on par!!! He’s giving me Jerry Yan and MatsuJun vibes. 

This isn’t much of qualm except more of a sidenote, but I enjoy how they have meshed the plots together. It does make it feel like it’s going a fast pace, especially if you’ve read the manga and everything seems to go at a much even pace. I still feel like it adds a level of “this is happening over a couple weeks time here and there”. Which is fine, but it does make it feel quick. 

I love how modern the plot is!! I love that the media has a BIG play in with everything I feel like in the earlier adaptions it wasn’t like that because of it being set in early 2000s. But now with it being set in more of 2020s, you get to see how much of an influence the F4 really are!!! It makes it all the more entertaining especially since celebrity/business culture goes hand in hand with media because they have that money to be able to control that.

I love the flower references, how we keep going back to Tulips. Ugh it makes it all the more fascinating!!! 

Uncle Ga is a fantastic OC, rather than the Kazuya character. Still appreciate him in the manga. 

Seeing the F4 fight it out, really emphasizes that they have their differences and beef, but always come out being the best of friends at the end. It’s real friendship and love, and I love that Yoko Kamio never took that away. 

F4 absolutely adoring Gorya. They loved Makino since the beginning, and they’ll love and defend her till the end. CHEFS KISS. 

I just love MJ, Kavin, Thyme, and Ren so much. Seeing them all interact really makes them feel like the F4 popped out of the manga. I am enjoying their antics! 

Kaning being such a presence!!!! I love her TO PIECES and it also shows the F4 adore her and Gorya too! It makes me absolutely giddy.
