adam parrish is a character that has largely been defined by his hunger for autonomy and control (that’s what makes his sacrifice to cabeswater so powerful & intriguing) so for him to come back from the brink of death by somebody else’s will, for this person who barely knows him to put him back together is so crazy and yet. it’s barely addressed. we just skip forward four years and i’m supposed to be okay with that? the conclusion to his character isn’t really a conclusion at all, it’s like a new beginning. where do we go from here?

#i feel like the answer to this is . ur imagination #but that it kinda disappointing for me #in general i feel like tdt left a lot of questions unanswered. or instead of answering previous questions brought up new things to discuss #and while discussions are great and i like having room to work with instead of the author spoonfeeding us #in this case it just feels rushed and incomplete? since this is the finale to a series that spans seven books #and we got a cheesy and neat epilogue (as neat as these stories will ever be)#more details could’ve def been given to this particular element #the things that could’ve been left open-ended have been filled in #and the areas where more clarity / depth could’ve been added have been left blank #as if mstief was leaving room for fanfic #tdt #adam parrish #greywaren spoilers #greywaren
