I think my biggest problem with the unironic use of film bro is its evolution into a critique of the films and not the bros themselves and their misunderstanding of the pieces and idolization of the violent men being critiqued in said films.

#like i jokingly say my toxic trait is being a film bro all the time because #i love the movies that get labled as film bro movies #but the movies arent the problem #(thats not to say there arent problems with the movies but their wild misinterpretation by ignorant people isnt one of those things)#(looking at you pulp fiction)#and the term has been used for lbr anti intellectualism which i hate bringing up because its just swinging a bat at a hornet's nest #but like Mulholland drive isnt a flm bro movies guys #(its a trans girl movie)#subtitled foreign films arent film bro movies #art films arent film bro movies!!!#also isnt it hilarious that all the actually misunderstood movies are all made by gay people and women #funny how that happens #funny how the los jibbities and women understand how to critique white male violence in such a unique way that shitty dudes #are always like holy shit thats literally me!!!#anyway #i'm gonna stop before i catch attention and get some bonkers bad faith anon asdlkfj;askdjf
