#and the thought of melody finding fandroid after he's been put into stasis

i think more people should talk about how fandroid's stasis affected melody.

i mean, imagine what it was like for her, the day she found out. heading to adhoc to visit fandroid, only to find the building in ruins and all the humans dead, killed in some sort of incident. sure, maybe she and fandroid had a rocky relationship at first, but melody cared about fandroid, considered him as not just a best friend, but a little brother. she was probably very much concerned for his safety, and rushed to his room to find him, to make sure he's okay.

and he is.

but he isn't awake. he's asleep. but not the kind of sleep melody had seen him fall into before. fandroid isn't tossing or turning or talking in his sleep, he's just...still. completely still.

it freaks melody out, and she desperately tries to wake him up, trying to ignore the awful feeling throbbing within her, but nothing works. no matter how much she screams and yells, even shaking him at one point, nothing she does can get him to even stir.

then b-po finds her, and once she learns that fandroid has been put in a hibernation of sorts, in stasis, her world just...

...well, it shatters.

even more so when b-po admits he doesn't know when fandroid will wake up. or if he'll wake up.

melody is very much in denial, and starts screaming at b-po, begging, pleading for him to wake fandroid, but as much as she cries, there's nothing b-po can do.

so she resigns to staying by her little brother's side, for the next three years. she does leave to wander around the facility, but other than that, she stays in fandroid's room.

watching, waiting.

waiting for her little brother to open his eyes again.
