Today I had to tackle the cat with a towel so we could give her her asthma inhaler.

While I am very proud of my ability to move quickly and grab her as she tried to run away without crushing her tiny ancient body, it also was a moment of realizing, "So this is my life now..."

#cat #old cat #cats #asthmatic kitty #not sufjan stevens' record label #hopefully she'll realize she can breathe better afterwards #this is also why we haven't gotten a new stove #our pets are expensive #lola had an infected toe that could have been cancer #that was like $1000 at the vet with the x-ray and all the meds #but we didn't have to chop off her toe #and mable tested positive for a bunch of tick-borne illnesses #so we have to get blood work done 2-3 times a year to check on her kidneys #but they're our babies #and we've forgone a working oven to keep them healthy #i'm only a little spicy about it
