God, you know, I wish I liked My Own Private Idaho much better than I did (which is... not very) because on paper, it's everything that should appeal to me and yet...
#also getting a bit tired of it being trotted out as The rec for a queer hal story#which i DO get because it's pretty much the only one that exists and is accessible#and you should probably read hal/scott in this as a queered figure#but he does explicitly no-homo himself. that is very much a thing he does in the film.#text posts
