Since I didn't go to lessons today due to feeling sick, I figured I'll work on updating some of the bios that don't need a full overhaul, because apparently this is the hell I've chosen to be stuck in, doing nothing but refs

Jokes aside, I basically combined 3 characters into one with him now, as all 3 were very similar.

Bio below:

Age: 24

Nicknames: Bug/damn bug (Claude) Hay(Caelan) Hay-kun (Yoruga) Hay-hay (Celine)

Alternate name: While Hayden is not primarily a fae, he does still follow the tradition of the fae folk where when marrying different beings, they have their full fae name, and a combined family name. His alternate name is Hayden Danau

(coming from the latin name danaus, referring to a tribe of tiger butterflies)

Family: older brother Claude, Little siblings Milo and Celine, mother (name pending)

Friends: Caelan Araknos/Delune (Claude's BF), Yoruga (Hayden's absolute bestie in the entire world), Avara (Hayden's bestie in the whole world basically) Avane Faydream (Claude's coworker/friend) Franziska Belmont (His mentor's sister)

Love interest: None, he's single atm

Occupation: An university Healer Medic student doing an apprenticeship under doctor Angus Belmont.

A moth subtype sleep paralysis demon with some fae heritage, enabling him to have a fairy-like humanoid form.

ABOUT MEDIC HEALERS: Medical healers are a separate thing from Doctors in Mirror World; Doctors still mainly work on physical ailments, whereas healer Medics work sort of like exorcists, dealing with curses, spells gone wrong, poisoned magic, etc. These two types do often work together though, and there are specialists trained in both. (Hayden's mentor Angus is a doctor primarily, but has studied Healer medic subjects as well and is qualified for those too to an extent)

Abilities:

As a SPD, he can merge with shadows and traverse through them. He can also paralyse people by pricking them with his claws, or in case of small children, just by staring at them.

His kind feed off of fear their presence causes, and so he naturally gives Spooky Vibes when in demon form, which can cause paranoia, anxiety or small unease in people.

As a moth/bug type, he can also fly and shrink into a tiny size if he wants to.

Having a fae heritage means he is able to summon his wings (and extra pair of arms) in fae/human form without needing to transform fully.

Being part of a fae family known for swordsman skills, Hayden has been taught how to form one with his powers, and how to use it.

He has medical knowledge, both for physical ailments as well as his specific field, which deals more with magic based sicknesses, including things like curses.

Personality:

Hayden is generally seen as a very kind and polite person, but he does have his mischievous side, being what he is. By default, he is very good at pulling tricks on people and not getting caught, given most people (except those who know him) tend to not suspect him. He and Yoruga especially tend to be up to Shenanigans a lot during their free time.

He can be a bit impulsive however, and if someone really manages to irk him, he might decide to mess with them even when he REALLY shouldn't. (such as when the person in question is far stronger than him.) Basically, when he is acting on an impulse, rather than doing his default mischief, Hayden tends to not plan his actions as well and can get caught and in trouble pretty easily.

He's extremely patient and good with children, and being a SPD, he has very helpful knowledge in understanding people's fears and how to mitigate them. (helpful if a child for example is scared of visiting a doctor.) His patience does extend to his pranks as well, as he is able to wait for hours on end to pull one, usually on his brother much to Claude's dismay.

Despite his trickster tendencies, he's generally professional at work, as Hayden takes himself more seriously when he's supposed to be caring for others' well-being. This does extent to outside of work too though, as he tends to not mess with people he can tell aren't feeling well.

.........Unless he's drunk.

Weaknesses:

He is not as good of a swordsman as his brother, because he generally has less interest and stamina for it. He also takes longer to form a blade, and it lasts for a shorter period. (People often overestimate his swordsmanship skills and underestimate Claude's, purely because Hayden's sword seems sturdier)

His kind are pretty easy to drive away, you tend to just need to flash a light at them and they leave; same is true for Hayden. It is not that they hate light though, but rather their fear hypnosis stops working.

He's not exactly physically imposing even as a SPD, as his kind are considered among the weakest types. if he ever gets in real trouble (which does happen given his mischievous nature) his best bet tends to be to run away or call for help.

His impulsive tendencies tend to get much worse when drunk, and he can be difficult to keep out of trouble when intoxicated. His ability to read people generally worsens, and he might taunt or mess with a person he normally wouldn't when sober.

Fun Facts

His eyes are bigger than Claude's, because he is literally a Bug Boy, whereas Claude is more just themed after one.

His moth wings change color depending on the form; in fae/human form they are green, in demon form they shift to purple.

Due to Hayden's extreme babyface, he's able to get away with mischief a lot and has the most epic puppy eyes that Claude is far too weak for

He has 4 eyes in bug boy demon form, and they have the same grid like structure. He also doesn't blink in this form as he has no eyelids.

Hayden mainly enjoys wearing sleeveless shirts, because it makes summoning his extra arm pair even in human form easier.

His style is pretty boho inspired, and he likes wearing greens and yellows a lot, to sort of contrast his demon form, which is mainly purples and blues.

His medic assistant uniform is white, with the Chrysalis city emblem on it, otherwise they look similar to human world ones.

When in demon form, he tends to make lot of chirping, hrrr-ing, and other bug noises. He can talk, but his voice has an underlying bug buzz echo when he does.

He can actually feed on fear even without doing anything himself or going into demon form; he likes working for Angus because Angus is Scary to a lot of some people, so he gets extra treats working with him by just being around the man.

His moth theme is Lunar moth. Hayden does in fact get stronger in demon form during full moon, meaning his Scary Vibes increase, and he can fly faster and longer. Also summoning his fae sword will have it last longer.

for some reason, the idea just popped into my head that shawn likes calling the others by their last names?? like how in his recording in batim he called joey "mr drew". the only ones who mind are schneep, who gets a lil pissy that shawn calls him "mr" instead of "dr", and jj, who thinks "mr jackson" is too formal from his bf. it makes the times that shawn calls him jamie or jj even sweeter, though, so he can't mind too much

Well, everyone in the studio probably called Joey “Mr. Drew” bc, y’know, that’s their boss, and you’re suppose to be formal with your boss, but I can honestly see that? Like Shawn calls everyone “Mr. ___” when he first meets them, and the others are just “Oh, just call me [first name]! You don’t have to be so formal.” and Shawn’s all Confused bc yes?? He does?? He breaks out of that once he's more comfortable around the others, tho.

Now I’m imagining Shawn calling Anti “Mr. Septiceye” and Angus “Mr. Hunter” and Jackie “Mr. Man” ghdshgds.

Yeah, I haven’t watched one in a long time either. Most of ‘em are pretty bad.     [ Brokeback Mountain was the last gay movie he saw, and in his honest opinion, it was absolutely terrible. Like, it wasn’t a fluffy romantic movie, and he knew it was supposed to be depressing, but did it have to use the Bury Your Gay tropes? And just be shitty overall? ]

[ The kiss on the head almost made him blush. Bear kisses were equally as good as bear hugs! Well, he did prefer bear hugs a little bit since they were nice and snuggy. But that didn’t mean bear kisses weren’t awesome, which they were! ]

from all your oc's is there any particular oc that is your favourite amongst the other? idk like they kind have a special meaning to you.

Mmmm, kind of, but also not really?

There is no one singular character that I could say is more special than everyone else, but rather there's a group of sorts, that have something about them that makes them bit more special, and the reasons kind of vary;

There's Azul, who's one of my all time favorite characters; he's existed for many years now, so there's a pretty strong nostalgia attachment with him! (His birth story is kinda interesting in a sense that he was a fantasy AU version of another character named Chester, but I ended up preferring Azul vastly more and Chester no longer really exists.) Azul is basically the protagonist of this OC group alongside his lil bro Reuben, and he's their problem solver/grumpy big brother figure with a mischievous side. He's also lowkey dating his kingdom's eldest prince Diojas lol

(Dio and Azul are also one of my all time favorite oc couples, their "old bickering couple who'd trust each other with their lives" dynamic is super fun)

There's Jurou, who's another one of my all time faves, a newer addition to the list. He's really fun to draw, but he's a fave especially because he embodies a lot of the positive parental qualities in him that I actually took from my own dad. He's patient, emotionally intelligent, supportive, guides you without holding your hand too much, and has a good sense of humor. (to be fair most of my dad characters have these qualities in varying amounts, Jurou is just my favorite out of all of them due to his design and powers lol) It's especially fun given, well....look at this guy; he looks like a scary villain, but his nature is nothing like that (usually lol)

(Also, his relationship with Yuushi is fun, with how both of them are much nicer and kinder in nature than they might appear & how Jurou is the calm, quieter one and Yuushi is the silly weirdo)

I feel like I do need to bring up Dawn & Shanti. They are THE og characters of mine, the ones I started with years ago when I first started posting online. Of course, they look NOTHING like what they used to be (they were...sonic ocs back then, yes I had that phase too OTL...) and actually am supposed to finish their redesigns; their personalities and Dawn's fire-themed powers have always stayed similar though. I only have one up-to-date art piece to share about them rn;

(I've just been too invested in my other oc story set to really get back to this, but maybe someday, hopefully!)

There's also the "I just really really REALLY love these character's designs especially, and gravitate towards drawing them a lot as a result" squad, which includes Yaguro, Chouma, Konjou and Angus (tho there's also story reasons to why I really like these four)

Yaguro because he's so colorful, but also his dynamic with Yume is fun & the fact he looks scary but is actually a really good parent figure (hence he becomes a parent in the future with Yume)

Chouma because I love his color contrast & his funny relationship with Youko, where this big scary looking guy goofs around and big brothers a lil girl who's oblivious about how scary he is lol. Also his complicated relationship with Angus is pretty fun to explore, where they aren't really a couple, but Angus def. pays special attention to him/is a bit possessive over Chouma.

Konjou's design is again, really fun to me. I also like his family drama with his mum & the fact he's Yaguro's half brother. Also his silly himbo BF loves penguins and thinks Konjou kinda looks like one lol, so there's lot of interesting stuff to do with him. Oh, there's also this whole deal with Angus kinda being a dad-figure to him, almost.

Talking about him, Angus, outside his design that's surprisingly fun to me despite being fairly simple, is a very interesting and complex villain where it feels like I constantly discover new details that could work/make sense with his character. From how cold and calculating he usually is, to the genuine care he shows to select few in his own way (his sis, Konjou, Chouma), to how as a former doctor he still prefers killing his opponents as painlessly as possible - unless you anger him where all that is thrown out of the window. This last bit is especially interesting because it is a conscious choice, that requires effort from his part, given he's actually quite sadistic.

.....There's so many more I could talk about tbh, but I should really cut this here so this answer won't get any longer than it already is lmao

(....Okay one more, I HAVE to give Honorary Mention to Yuushi, because he's hilarious and one of my friend's favorites;)
