If it is ok to ask how come you stopped reblogging art or other posts? I understand that it can be a lot to keep with anyways if your life is busy with other stuff. Hope things are okay ♥
Hello! Things are just a bit much in my personal life right now so a lot of what I do has slowed way down- not just here, but in all areas in my life. It might trickle for a while, just not feeling my best at the moment!

Thank you for your content 💕 But if we are new to your series, which do we start with first? Also Kenny and Kyle are so good, you do them one the ways I like best! How would you describe your version of them and what inspires it? Because I love it. There is one other artist that does them this type of way that I like ^^ 💕
Hello! <3 First off, thank you for your comment. You're sweet to stop by. <3 I'll try to make my answers fairly readable.
When it comes to my series:
If you want something short and sweet I have a few oneshots. I mostly like the ones written within the past two/three years, but I've written for five years now. You'll find some nutty shit back there.
For my medium fics I like, try Braid (K2, Creek, Clutters) Chain (Kysterion with Kyley-B) or Princess (K2 fake dating fic). I'm also writing Under The Mask, which is ongoing and fun to write but may end up being pretty long with how it's going.
If you have the time, I'm still really fond of my first fic I ever wrote, Curses, Curses (K2 'groundhog day' esque) I really enjoyed A Bit of Chaos (Clutters with Creek, Clyde recieves an arch enemy against his will) and my favorite fic I ever wrote is Dawn Of the Queen (K2, Creek fantasy au). A lot of work got put into the last one and I feel proud of it to this day.
As far as characters:
My version of Kenny and Kyle I guess can be pared down to this.
Kenny is the caretaker with a great deal of pride. With being the main breadwinner of his family for years, he's a very responsible person with a good head on his shoulders. Since his personality is sunny, mischevious, and social he can come off as far more carefree than he really is. But even when he is struggling, that doesn't leave his house. Despite being open with himself as a person, he's quite private about his life if that makes sense. He feels the need to take care of/carry the burdens of everyone around him, he likes to be useful and feel like he can make someone else's life easier. Even if it's to his own detriment, he needs to feel like he's helpful. Getting him to open up is a damn chore.
Kyle is the typical Gifted Kid Burnout. Despite being sharp tongued, short tempered, and a preachy little bastard, he has pretty low self esteem. He simply can't let himself look too foolish in front of someone else without lashing out- even when its his own fault. He's very obsessive, especially over people or ideas and gets very self conscious about it. He's a jock, he's incredibly intelligent, he genuinely loves his friends, but he can't fulfill every expectation of his family and friends. His need to try is what leads him down a path where he views everything he does as a failure even if he's still successful, just not how he imagined. As he gets older and his future isn't what he expected, he begins to become more isolated.
For inspo, I'm not sure how to answer. I suppose it's that I love to develop character and try to dissect what makes someone take a certain action- in this way I build up a character so that I know exactly what my version would do in whatever situation I throw at them. Also helps I've literally written for these characters since 2017.
Thanks again for the comment! I hope you found something in here remotely interesting! :p

What would your dream request be if you could choose to have a very specific one tailored exactly to your most favourite things? As in the style, your most favourite characters and ship, and all that. :O
Hello! I've never been asked before. Probably K2, to no one's surprise I'm sure, or Creek, and either something gritty and intense or lighthearted and longing.

Hi! I look forward to your updates 💗 Is My sterion your favourite part for Kenny? What made you fall in love with it because for me it was some edgy 2009 fanart of him looking in the mirror.. xD so I love all the fanarts of him
Hello! Thank you so much. <3
Mmm, I don't know if I'd say Mysterion was my favorite part of Kenny, but he's one of the most fun to write/draw. Aside from the fact I love superheroes/villains and find them fun to work with, I enjoy how Mysterion seems to be Kenny taking hold of his own curse/situation and using it to his benefit. Rather than be sort of passive, he's more assertive/aggressive in the persona and it's a nice dissonance between his two alter egos.
Gosh. I don't know if I remember what set off my love of Mysterion, probably seeing other people's interpretations of it, just like you. My first stories involved Mysterion, my first drawings were about the hero. Not much has changed, eh?

Your recent arts have been so pretty 💕 Is it story related or are you inspired from something else? :D
Thank you! <3 Trying a couple new things lately. :)
The picture of the two Mysterions? Yes, that was. It's something in the works, but I won't be starting it until Masks and Backalley Healer are both over with. I'm really looking forward to writing it.
The picture of Craig and Tweek? Not really, I just picture them taking time away from their home before they move out. In my headcanons Tweek's main hobby is music and painting, and Craig's is astrophotography. Therefore trips out where they can get inspiration are common for them.

I love your head canons 😭It makes me mega-inspired. What inspires yours? See because I like a short Kyle but I do not see many do it so when I see it I go crazy x)
Thank you!! I'm so glad I can offer inspiration, I'm honored! I have headcanons I really like and get inspired by, too, I'll list a couple down below!
Kenny's sibling relationships is something I really like seeing/exploring. I typically have him and Kevin on rocky ground for a little bit of their relationship, Karen still looks up to Kenny and adores him but sees a lot of his struggles. Both younger siblings are fiercely independent and it can cause a slight rift between them, through no one's fault, really.
Any time Kyle is mentioned to be in sports- I've always had him and Stan be athletes in school. Kenny would be as well, if the boy had the time. I typically assign them basketball, football, and baseball respectively. Kyle's a very good athlete and an excellent student. Stan is an excellent athlete and a good student. Kenny does not have either as a priority, but he's very intelligent and almost otherworldly strong and resilient.
The curse. Everyone writes about it/draws about it, and I'm no different. Love me some Eldritch lore. Kenny's biggest struggle is something he's forced to deal with alone, and in my canons the closer he gets to an answer the more and more powerful (and less human) he slowly starts to become.
Hope any of this was slightly interesting. It's things I like seeing personally and gets me inspired...I'd love to write something at some point of just the McCormick siblings.

What inspires you? Whether it is fandom things or other shows or music. I felt curious because you do a lot of gritty nighttime backdrops and I love that vibe :)
Hey Anon! Thanks for stopping by. Oh yeah, I feel I definitely tend to draw grittier vibes, especially with my Mysterion stuff. My absolute favorite show when I was a kid growing up was Batman The Animated Series. I was incredibly obsessed and I feel like it still kind of leaks into my lighting, color choices, and silhouettes!

What do Kenny and Kyle look like in your Mentor a Hero story?
Tumblr media
A doodle for you. More or less, Mysterion’s costume is plain and meant only to be seen at night, blending into shadows. Kite is a daytime hero and a bit more flashy. (And a few more people made it into the picture somehow).

hey, I know you've currently finished your superhero AU but I was wondering... What is Stan's powers and what does he look like? I kinda wanted to cosplay him and I really liked your version of him so I thought I'd ask
Hello, friend! I’d be glad to chat more about Stan’s abilities…in my original draft he was more prominent in mentor and it’s one of the things I wish I had more time for…he got a bit overlooked.
That being said, I’d be glad to tell you more about him, and I hope your cosplay works out great, I’d love to see when you’re done!
Uniform:
Stan’s underlying uniform is a black jumpsuit, he owns two depending on how hot/cold the conditions outside are, fits from neck to toes. Slight reinforcements are made into the knees/elbows, he can take a decent tumble without being badly hurt.
He wears a shirt with his logo that is best described as a white crop top. He has leather bracers and boots. He has reinforcers for his shoulders, on which to perch weaponry or roll on to cushion a fall. (looks like metal but is flexible.)
He has a large pack he wears on his back, full of gear, but if he gets into a fight typically he takes what he needs and drops it. He has a holster on his side for his weaponry.
As of right now, he sports black eyeliner and goggles with the lenses tinted orange…whether it’s practical or for show he hasn’t given anyone a straight answer. (It’s a thermal reader)
He also is currently going by the name ‘Dissever’ but everyone that knew him before this stage still calls him Toolshed. He just can’t get it to catch on.
Abilities:
Stan is a mostly-weaponry-based superhero, and practically no one knows that he actually made most of his things himself…with some help. He’s worked a lot with other heroes and shares a few gadgets with them. Among his arsenal are:
EMP devices. Created with Terabyte, these are round objects that he tosses to disrupt any and all electronic devices in the immediate vicinity. (He was working with them on a type of gun before they had a little bit of a falling out).
His holster holds a long cylinder that looks kind of like a small telescope. It’s actually a laser, emitting a green beam capable of slicing through steel. And limbs. He doesn’t usually use it in fighting, as it’s a little too easy to kill someone. He keep it close so it’s never stolen.
His latest creation is a sword that looks like it’s made of glass, only it’s scabbard keeps the weapon hot. It has an unnatural look and it’s combined sharpness and heat makes it useful against anything organic. Not very helpful otherwise. (But it’s super cool.)
He shares what he terms ‘spy devices’ with Containment and later “Mysterion”, your basic listening devices, gps trackers, even a couple smoke bombs who’s primary use is being tossed at other heroes when they’re being annoying. Containment obtained most of these.
Powers:
Arguably, Stan’s greatest asset is his connections. He’s one of the only people who will work with others, often bouncing around one person to the next when the situation calls for it. The Witch and Tera are his primary friends, but people have seen him work closely with a pre-accident Chaos, Mosquito, Containment, and is later often seen with “Mysterion.” He refuses to work directly with SuperStrike, though he’d worked with WonderStrike with no problem whatsoever.
His connections allow him to gather people together, despite his cynical and doubtful nature he’s somehow obtained a surprising amount of friends in the hero community, despite the fact he’s teased often for his ever-changing persona. Maybe it’s the fact he’s so cynical to begin with…his trust feels real once you’ve earned it. His respect is genuine.
In summary, Arsenal-based hero, somewhere between spy and fantasy hero, a lil emo, and basically every teen’s ideal casual and unpowered hero.
I’m so sorry, dear friend, this is probably way more than you asked for. I went on a ramble. :)
If this helps, or actually if it doesn’t help, come back to my inbox and tell me. I’ll get you something better.
Good luck with your costume!!!

I hadn’t even considered it but I’m going to say yes, now, since you’ve gone and asked.

Hello! Not sure if you’re still interested in taking story prompts, so feel free to ignore this, how about a K2 life swap? I.e. Kyle grows up poor with neglectful or abusive parents, and Kenny is raised in an upper middle class household. And how that would change Kenny’s take on his curse, if Mysterion would still exist, if Kyle would still be an over-achiever (or however else you want to explore it). I love your work; thank you so much for all your wonderful stories!
Here. Take this and I love it.  I might have to come back to this sometime.

So, you kinda inspired me to get back into writing both fan fiction and original content. I used to be a fairly popular (I suppose) fan fiction writer, but what I wrote was just nonsense stuff from the mind of a high school freshman. My question is, do you have any tips for writing actual, readable content? My biggest problem seems to be adding detail. Half of it gets cut from my head to the keyboard. Thanks for the good content!
I honestly wish I could have really good, coherent answer to this. My best shot is I am humbled. I’m so glad I could help inspire you to get back into writing. If it’s something you love, you belong with a pen in your hand. (Or a keyboard under your fingers.)
And I think we all wrote some serious nonsense back in Freshman year. :)
For this specific problem, I’ll try to help all I can. I use my own tactics, which may not work for everyone, but if I’m having trouble adding detail this is one of the tools I use:
Say you’re writing an emotional piece with two people, but there’s mostly dialogue and not enough/any description. Now you know emotion requires a reader to connect, so you’ve got add in some details.
If there’s two people at a table, I’ll set myself down at that table as well. Focus on just a few small things: What is the table made out of? What color is the light in the room? What do you smell? What does the atmosphere between the characters feel like? Is it lighthearted and happy? Tense and negative? Tense and hopeful? What material are their curtains made of?
Just slowly build on very specific things, eventually you’ll start picturing things without having to pause too much and think about it. Your brain will start to fill things in, or at least know what to look for. This has worked for me, I can tell you what a room looks like, even if I couldn’t sketch it out nicely enough to explain.
Other than that, I’ll leave you with my first and most important thing when I write: Characters.
Personally, I’ll slog through whatever shit you give me if I like the characters enough. Plot holes? That’s okay if the characters are true to form. Overused trope? Doesn’t matter if I’m interested in the outcome.
Don’t be afraid to take a character and change it up. You’ll do that naturally regardless. Examine a character, take them down to the core. What do they value, what do they want in life, what has hurt them, what do they dream of? From there you can set a character anywhere in any situation and it’ll be fine. They’ll be in character because you know what makes them tick.
Details, Characters, don’t be afraid to rewrite. I sat on Dawn a stupid long time before it was written. Don’t be afraid to let things work themselves out…your story might end up dramatically different than what you planned, but I promise it’ll be better for it.
With that, thanks for the kind comments. I hope you can glean something from my many paragraphs that might spark some inspiration or an idea. I’m glad you’ve returned to writing, friend. See you around.
