Another Little Star / AU / Narcissa & Regulus

Sitting in the middle of a park bench, Regulus bounced a small child on his knee.. one that looked so very much like himself. Bright, bold, blue eyes and straight, almost-black hair. From the outside, someone might have thought he was his brother, and of course, he certainly could have been... but wasn't. Regulus glanced up as a few people walked past, but said nothing. He kept to himself, as he always had. Little fingers curled around his own, and the little boy wiggled onto Regulus' lap, almost in a scared manner. Chest to back was how they sat and Orion never let go, he simply curled into Regulus' chest deeper. " 'anna go 'ome." He mumbled into Regulus' cardigan, little fingers pulling on it now. Orion was barely right for the number of years he'd lived up till this point, but refused to act his age - he acted older. And Regulus had never been more proud to have such a brilliant child.

"We're waiting for Aunt Narcissa. Can't you wait a little longer? She wants to see you." Regulus replied, pressing a gentle kiss to Orion's hair. And he smiled. It smelled exactly like Sirius... They'd been playing earlier in the day. "Love you." He murmured, and Orion wiggled and whined. " 've 'ou too, pa." But finished with a nod of his head, signaling he could wait.
