Islamic Republic’s football team unfortunately managed to defeat Wales today in the World Cup. They not only sang the anthem of the murdering Islamic regime, but they also celebrated each goal. Meanwhile, the rest of Iran is mourning the massacre of Kurds, the murder of Hasti, and the violent assault on Balouchis today. 

I want to raise one thing - some of these players live in the west. Karim Ansarifard is married to a non-Iranian who can post photos of herself without hijab and wear whatever she wants without risking life and limb. These people are not facing the threats that the likes of Voria Ghafouri or Ali Daei are facing (both live in Iran), and yet, they have refused to stand by the people. They are spineless cowards who have chosen fame and fortune over human rights, their country and their people. History will remember which side they were on when it counted the most. We Iranians have LONG memories. 

When we say “bisharaf” or "dishonourable”, this is what we mean. The least they could’ve done was to not celebrate two days after Hasti’s murder and on the very day that Zahedan has been once again attacked with hundreds dead and injured. 

I have never wished for Iran’s football team to lose, but they are not our team. They are Islamic Republic’s team and I hope they lose massively to US and I hope US players snip their hair when they win or make some kind of statement. 

But at the end of the day, let’s remember, these players are spineless and not worth our time. We shouldn’t let these cowards distract us from the main goal, which is freeing Iran and saving the lives of all Iranians. I’ll leave you with the photo below that symbolizes the unity of Iranian people. The photo is from Zahedan today where Balouchis were violently attacked. The sign reads “Condolence to Kurdistan. Balouch, Lor, Arab, Fars and all of Iran is supporting Kurdistan.”
