blade didn't mind working in pairs. normally, he worked well with the teammates he had. following kafka's plans usually ended with a success, and even as irritating as silver wolf could be, she had enough knowledge in her brain to get them out of sticky situations. he definitely didn't mind working with either of them.

you on the other hand, blade was unsure of. ok yes, in your defense, he knew that you were quite intelligent. you were well-versed in the lifestyles of many different galaxies, and you were the type of person who liked to research as much as you could before you stepped foot on a new planet. so the first day blade met you, he did truly believe you were a mature, all-knowing researcher joining the stellaron hunters.

that was before, though. while you still did come off as all-knowing, he now knew you were far from mature.

"will you please quit it?"

you grin cheekily, watching him pace back and forth in front of the locked door you both were hiding behind, on the look out for guards. his red eyes dart back and forth between the door and you as you sit at one of the computers, extracting some files for the mission.

"i'm just saying you could try to smile more, blade."

he scoffs, eyes lingering on you and your annoying grin for a second longer. "nothing to smile about in my life."

you snort, shaking your head as you absentmindedly tap at the screen. "well that's dramatic. you just need something to make you laugh."

"I don't see any funny people around here." he sneers, eyes narrowed as he shoots you a sarcastic grin. you place your hand on your heart in mock offense.

"i'll have you know i am very funny!" you say defensively, shooting him a glare. blade only raises an unimpressed eyebrow.

"sure thing. because everything you've ever said has got me positively giggling. now will you shut up and work faster so we can get out of here?"

a mirthless smile graces your face as you narrow your eyes at him in retaliation. "you just have no sense of humor." you mutter, turning back to the screen. blade rolls his eyes before resuming his lookout, though his gaze does wander back to you more times than he cares to admit. the room is silent save for the occasional clicks of the software you were accessing, and for a second blade thinks he misses the sound of your talking, but he pushes that thought aside.

you somehow seem to pick up on it though, because you speak up again. "hey blade?"

"what?"

"are you rheumatoid arthritis?"

he can't see your face with your back turned to him, and he seems to think you're seriously asking him a question, because he frowns and begins to speak. "are you stupid? do you mean to say do i have rheumatoid arthritis? because, you know that i do not-"

"because you make me feel weak in the knees!"

there's a tense silence as he stares at you, his brain trying to process what you just said. when it clicks his lips curl into a sneer and he groans.

"aeons, will you please shut up? you are so stupid why am i stuck here-"

"hey blade, if you were an element you'd be francium because you're the most attractive!"

his clicks his tongue as you giggle, finally standing up and making your way over to him after downloading all the data you needed. you peer at him mischievously, eyes scanning over his sour expression. "what, not even a smile? tough crowd."

he scoffs, opening the door and ushering you out in front of him so that he can keep an eye on you. "what, that was your strategy? stupid nerdy pick up lines? try harder."

"you're underestimating my resolve, bladie. i will get you."

he hums absentmindedly, resisting the urge to roll his eyes at you as he peers down halls for any enemies before sending you the signal to keep walking.

you clear your throat, and he sighs as you begin your inane antics once more. "you must be a good benzene ring because you are so aromatic!"

"stop it right now."

"you must be made of uranium and iodine, because i can see U and I together!"

he pauses, eyes narrowing as a weird tumble occurs in his chest. he glares down at you from the corner of his eyes, trying his best not to dwell on it because aeons above you were just being stupid. he hears you laugh under your breath, and he's about to scold you once more before he hears voices approaching.

"shut up. guards." he orders quietly, pulling your arm back so that you're now hiding behind the wall with him. he watches them carefully, scarlet eyes scanning for any sudden movements as he keeps you behind him. suddenly he feels your finger poke at his bicep as you whisper:

"are you a carbon sample? because i really wanna date you!"

blade feels his face grow hot as he glares at you angrily. he immediately turns around and presses a bandaged hand over your mouth, leaning in close to hiss at you. "you idiot. didn't i say shut up? they're right there!"

you reach up to pull his hand away from your face, though your fingers continue to hold his as you give him another cheeky smile.

"ooh," you whisper dramatically, grinning at his close proximity. "are you a heart arrhythmia? because you just made my heart skip a beat!"

blade's eyes dart all over your face, and he ignores the way that it feels like his brain is short-circuiting since it's probably just because of how reckless you're being. instead he just opts for rolling his eyes and clamping his hand back over your mouth. you let him this time, though he can still tell you're smiling by the way your eyes crinkle.

as soon as the coast is clear, he's leading you back to the ship without a word. the entire way there, you continue to drop more of your stupid lines, and he only gives you annoyed groans in response.

by the time you both are safely back, he's had enough of you.

"-you have 11 protons? because you're sodium fine!" you giggle, and blade's eye twitches once before he's turning around and getting in your face once more. his eyes bore into yours as he smirks.

"oh yeah? if i was an enzyme, i'd be dna helicase, just so that i could unzip your genes." he says, keeping his voice even as he stares at you.

your jaw drops, face heating up at the unexpected turn of events as you stumble over a response. "w-wait, you-!"

"what? you've been yapping my ear off about how great our chemistry is. don't you think we should do some biology together too?" he smirks, red eyes lighting up as he takes in your flustered expression.

"well that's not what i-!" you pause, breath hitching as he leans closer and brushes a strand of loose hair out of your eyes. he chuckles under his breath, peering at you through his bangs.

"damn. you must be an alkali metal. one touch and already highly reactive, huh?"

"blade!" you hiss, eyes darting away from him and he finally relents, pulling back to watch you with an amused grin. you clear your throat, almost like you know how caught off guard you look. "i have to go...report to kakfa."

he bites back a grin, watching you leave through the dark strands of his hair. so flustered that you didn't even realize that in the end you did get him to smile? how amusing.

he laughs quietly to himself, shaking his head. maybe, just maybe, he could try to ask elio to make you his partner permanently.

HEY! as the second round of the mcytblr sexyman bracket settles in i wanted to take the time to thank everyone that turned out for #saintsweep in the first round. genuinely don’t know how any of this happened, but i was rly touched by the outpouring of support and positivity and enthusiasm from everyone who was willing to commit to the bit. (33%!!! 33!!!! A WHOLE THIRD!!!! 2206 PEOPLE!!!) 

i wanna thank specifically zloy and the bracket team for being good sports about the whole thing -- the nomination started as a joke, but it was from a place of genuine excitement and goodwill, and i’m glad we all got to have fun with it. sorry for not actually fitting the “yt” part of the mcyt sexyman tournament LOL. 

but, speaking of. i’d joked about making a minecraft video if i won when i first saw the nominations, but after everything that happened here in round one i’m probably gonna do it even tho i lost. i feel like i owe it to everyone who turned out and got really invested and also really confused about who this gay little tv was and why they couldn’t find him anywhere (SORRY ABOUT THAT).

Yoongi is like a sugar daddy but in a brotherly manner? I don't know how to explain it, but like he buys me stuff and spoils me just for existing. Also, all the members of txt flirt with me and take so much care of me 24/7. They just can't stop fliritng?! Like chill! I don’t know what's that show or whatever called, but it has one member asking questions while others are in these boxes. So the same thing happened in my dr right, and I as a joke asked "step out if you would have approached me and asked for my number if we were not idols or trainees and had met outside in a normal way" all of the mf's came out. Followed by which PD nim asked the question "If given the chance, would you date {my name} right now?" and they all stepped out once again!!!!!!!! But they said that they're scared of my brothers reaction (they didn't take his name obv, since that is a secret to the public and only the staff, bts, my ex IM and my group members know of it) (They were scared cuz Yoongi is very very very protective of me, and he is very very very very scary when he gets angry. The good thing is that he doesn't get angry that fast or often. He is hard to make angry) Anyways, the questions were not edited out and when people saw it they went crazy! They started shipping me with all of the them and it was such a scandal in a way, but not a negative one. (I didn't script the questions part, and neither about their feelings for me) Chris Evans and Tom Hiddleston have my face cards as in their transparent phone covers that they used publicly, and they are huge fans of me (I didn't script this either)

I do have a few ideas that might be useful for you! :3 Notion, Obsidian, and Milanote are all great for notekeeping. They're what I use on the day to day! There's so much customisation, and it really scratches the notekeeping itch in my brain. Pluralkit, pronouns.cc, and simplyplural while intended for systems, are also very useful for multiself beings :) The creators have specified that they don't want to gatekeep their services, and are happy for singlets to use them alongside plurals. I hope some of these are useful for you

As for trying to figure out which mindset you're in? We struggle with this as well, but I think a fairly reliable way to tell is through introspection about your identity. Since multiselfhood is so intertwined with transids, you could probably ask yourself questions such as "how old am I?" "what do I look like?" "what's my gender?" etc. You could probably even make it a personality quiz, that could be a fun way to figure out which mindset(s) you're in!!

Additionally, ask yourself how you feel. I don't know if it's like this for everyone, but for us each mindset comes with it's own "aura"? Some auras are fun, some auras are cynical, and some auras are cute. This is usually the biggest giveaway. Anyway I hope I was able to help :3 Thanks for reaching out

i saw you express a question a bit back as to whether you should plot it out prior or go chapter by chapter - and idk if its still smthing ur wondering!! so if its not feel free to dismiss - but as someone who has done long fic before id say my happy medium is a little bit of both. you'd want enough to give yourself a couple chapters of buffer while you figure out how to work in the real meat of the plot, but also a few concrete plot points you know you want to hit later on so foreshadowing can be used early on. but also the key word here being "my" because every author should come up with their own mix to keep themselves invested and away from burnout. fanfiction, the medium, fails a little in regards to long fic imo bc it allows reader input at every chapter, which could potentially affect the authors view or or vision for the story.

in regards to overarching plot ideas . . . hmm. whats your ideal end goal you want to achieve w the fic - like a fun horny romp or a mystery series etc? and from there, branching out, do you have a plan for why mc went out into the forest in the first place? :o

Least favorite ship

Simply, I have the biggest gripe with these two ships. Alternatively, I have a dislike for this type of dynamic in general:

Genuinely and respectfully, if you ship either of these two then I'll have to ask you to kindly unfollow my blog because I hate both of these ships with all my heart.

Before you say, 'you just hate them because of the age gap', and though I personally also don't like ships with big age gaps, no. No because there's more blantantly problematic things about these ships that are evident reason enough to dislike them like hello TvT???

The aesthetic of these two dyanmics is not 'hot' or is it 'enemies to lovers', respectfully it's just straight up odd and messed up. Sukuna and Adam have obsessive behavior towards Megumi and Langa respectively and I just can't see how people would find this appealing? Sukuna traumatizes Megumi via what he did to Yuji post fight (and if you know and are reading the manga then ;-;) and Adam just beats numerous of Langa's friends (and boyfriend-) while touching him in areas that are concerning and without consent (even if Langa semmed indifferent, it still doesn't take away how naturally weird it is). So for people to say that these two would work well as a ship or make wholesome domestic art of these two despite how concerning their actual dynamic is in canon, it simply doesn't make sense on my end I'm sorry :<<

Least favorite character

Adam. Genuinely Adam from Sk8 the Infinity, and it's sad on my end because I honestly believed he was a pretty good written villain, that is, if they didn't rush his redemption. Having done so though, his character just comes off as concerning to me even with his backstory. For one, as mentioned above he just has this odd attachment and behavior towards Langa. Considering them to be "Adam and Eve", he also just straight up touches and seduces Langa and it makes me so uneasy, not in the "whoah this is a well written villain because I'm unsettled of his presence" but just "dude stop.", it simply creeps me out TvT. Second, because Adam has fun in hurting/ beating people in his path like Reki and (spoilers ahead) when he hit Cherry with his skateboard. It's natural to expect something like that since he is the antagonist afterall however, if you're going to "redeem" his character in the last episode, at least give a resolution to it just as much. Whatever happened in episode 12 was personally rushed and the characters acted as if nothing had happened, pretty much allowing Adam to still be this weirdly possessive individual. Third, personally I believe I would have considered Adam a well written villain or at least appreciated him more if they didn't give him a redemption arc/ speedrun said redemption. Given that Season 2 is confirmed, they could have saved and built up a better Adam redemption arc for it rather than what was promptly given to us in the last episode of Season 1. Overall, I just really hate Adam and I think his writing was a bit of wasted potential most especially in the last episode. I always love a good villain that does evil for no reason, but Adam isn't a good example of it, he's just straight up creepy and obsessive, more so towards Langa who's still fairly young.

oh, what a fun question !! i do have thoughts on this !!! i've gotten into the habit of writing quirkless readers so that way we're more versatile, but !! when i started writing a pro-hero reader for a wip, i spent an agonizingly long time trying to decide what to give us LOL in the fic we are actually bakugou's partner, and i decided on sort of a sun/heat/energy related quirk ? i don't have many specifics, but it's literally like solar/heat charge kind of ?? and i really liked this idea because then it ends up making bakugou helpful to us !! rather than us helpful to him aifbfjsjq so that's fun !!

but i've also always liked air abilities, as well, i.g. air bending, and i think that could be beneficial to him, maybe ?? when i think about it, i think — the importance of adding oxygen to a fire, and i know his quirk isn't solely fire-focused, and it has more to do with his sweat and the right timing for combustion, but i still think it could be helpful ?? perhaps to help carry the effect, idk !! and then the last thing i thought of was something that would be very defense-focused for him, since he's such an aggressive fighter. a quirk which could help him from the blow-back of his own explosions (if he even needs that ?? which he might not and possibly has his own biological resistance to them or something) or to just be there for him in the exact right moment that he needs shielding, if that makes sense.

idk !!! tbh it really scrambled my brain for the longest time, trying to figure out support for him LOL bc he's such a versatile fighter, i think. he can do long range and short, he's good in hand-to-hand, he's wicked fast, like what could he need LOL so i think naturally something to defend him since he — really can't himself ?? without taking damage — or something that amplifies his ability, but even in saying that, his ability already has a large spread/effect/damage so, how much more can you amplify it, anyway ?? how did you feel when you first started out writing fanfics for a particular fandom?

i started when i was around 9 and was very excited to share so thats what i did :] but over time i grew insecure and felt my old stuff was stupid lmao so i deleted it all off the web and then writing became a private thing for me for a very, very long time (writing like 40k, 38 chapters worth of stuff just for me 😭). i've wanted to share during my last few fandoms but never got the courage to until i got into lookism/viral hit !

(well, actually, i did share some writing during my "obey me!" phase but it was just text convos lol)

naturally, i was nervous putting my writing out in the world again esp bc the last time i did was when i like 11-12, and i was 16 when i wanted go public with my writing again 😔 im very glad i pushed myself to tho, bc its basically been a year now and i've had a blast!

i never imagined so many people would like my silly writing, enough to send in requests T_T 💕💖

have you always been passionate about writing?

kind of,,? i really only got into it because of fanfiction lol but i did consider becoming an author for like. a week of my life sjdhwhdj so really it's just a hobby i do since im the walking definition of "speaks little but thinks a lot"

gotta put thoughts down somewhere yknow? and at the end of the day, writing to me is just what art is to me; it's for fun and to express myself. sure, i wanna get better at both, but if my stuff turns out "objectively" bad, at least i know i had fun with it :'D

what is your method to know a character better so as to make your works seem close to their original personality?

going to be honest, im not the best person to ask for this 😭 im the world's most casual writer and i take my "just have fun with ur art" thing very seriously;;

i.e. i just keep note of how a character acts throughout a story, characterize them along the way, and then use that as my base for any writing i do of them 😭

um. i also (re)read fandomwiki pages of them, if any, to double check for stuff 😭😭😭 occasionally i rewatch/reread moments of them in their stories when i want to look for something specific but otherwise it's just me going "hm would this character do this?", comparing it to my base, and reacting accordingly!

other times i straight up go "yeah they probably wouldnt do this BUT it would be cute so im going to do it 😍"

so, if nothing works, just let urself be self indulgent <3 unless u do want to take ur writing more seriously than i do, then uh yeah it would be much better for u to look up advice from people who take their writing more seriously ^_^"

I am excited to see the wip you mentioned and I hope it is the beginning of a ayato-nii series, much like your touya-nii one — which I am also obsessed with and must have re-read at least 6 times, including the christmas series. — And goes in depth about ayato-nii’s relationship with his beloved little sister. Ayato is a sadist and a controlling one, although he will never admit that. In front of you he is a planner, he likes to plan things ahead, including the ones he shouldn’t know because there is nothing he shouldn’t know. He has eyes and ears everywhere, he needs to keep his naive and oh-so stubborn little one in check, otherwise how would he efficiently keep his best nii-san title, hm?

And when you try and talk to him in private about how “maybe you shouldn’t let the guards see when he touches you or they will get the wrong idea” he nods, just to turn around and ignore your request whenever you are together in front of them again, he then reminds you that “they don’t matter, that he is the one who controls them” and that is the only time you ever have that conversation because Ayato made sure to show you that you understood not only that, but that “You also don’t matter when it comes to those decisions. Nii-san knows better, you should also know better than to question him, too, should you not? Make sure to not question him again, especially with stupid concerns such as those.”
