*twirls hair around fingers* so there's this demon bear on the show about doomed 19th century sailors
#the terror#yes I started rewatching it again and the tuunbaq is probably my least fave part#buuuut i can't pass up the chance to draw/redesign Mythical Creatures#Plus it meant I got to look up some inuit artefacts which i always love#I used to volunteer in a museum and the artic artefacts were my favourites#(although unfortunately it was a 19th c collection so very little information on provenance apart from greenland and gained through trading#anyway I love the idea of a creature which drifts off from naturalistic into stylised while still being 3d and solid#but I'm still not great at realising that though#these are quite goofy i know but for whatever reason I gravitate towards weird and unsettling if slightly goofy#compared to most horror designs#I was trying to stay close-ish to the show's design but just..... a bit more stylised#my art
