I love you bodegas I love you corner stores I love you shitty gas stations in the middle of nowhere I love you truck stops I love you gas stations on the corner downtown that sell bongs for some reason I love you weird local convenience stores

#nerd alert #ever since ive been an adult ive leaned on these places i love them so much #i lived next to 2 different gas stations when i was with my ex and one was open 24hrs and the other was. well idk how to say it but #maybe a 'bodega' but the local term was 'arab gas station' bc there were several in the area that were like not big chain #gas stations that were run by immigrants from various middle eastern countries and most of them also sold bongs and pipes #'for tobacco use only' it said on the displays but we all knew what was up lol. and they had cheap ass candy and stuff #that was so good and they were also the only place to get L&Ms which r the cheapest cogarettes ($3 a pack back then)#which was absolutely essential for me bc i was very poor but my bf smoked so.#anyway the one next to our house was known as 'cutthroat's' bc apparently some girl got murdered there once #and the usual cashier was a guy named remy who was almost a friend lmao cuz we went there so much #now i live down the road from a BP that is that kind where like. its a little shittier yknow lol which i love #cuz they have those great danishes i love and nobody there gives a shit #i took my cat there to practice having him out LMAO #anyway i lvoe these businesses they are my best friend
