This is the current state of U.S. Courthouse in Portland as of June 11th. SWIPE To see a detail shot from a different angle. . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In my art, I depict architecture and the urban landscape and how it reflects community culture...that is what I do. But, in the last number of years I have slowly become more conscious of how city culture doesn't really represent everyone. This big surge in the Black Lives Matter movement is making me even more aware of this. I am finding it fascinating that at this very moment the city is changing every day with boarded up windows, fences, murals, messages, signs, and graffiti. It is a historic time when a movement is effecting the urban landscape on a daily basis that I am compelled to photograph. The old familiar streets have changed overnight.
