French: Arménie // English: Armenia // Japanese: アルメニア (Arumenia)
    Armenia formed its National Olympic Committee in 1990 and participated in its first Olympics as a country at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics. They haven’t hosted any Olympic Games, but they’ve participated in 6 Summer Games and 7 Winter Games. The Olympic sports in which Armenia has medaled are Boxing, Weightlifting, and Wrestling.

    “The Republic of Armenia is the first country in the world to have Christianity as its state religion. Armenia Church Headquarters Emichiadin Church is a World Heritage Site and the oldest church in the world. Most of the Haghpat monasteries and ethnic patterns on the ceiling and sleeves of the church are called ‘utsushinori.' Rather than painting the inside of the threads such as pomegranate flowers, fruits, and apricot flowers, they are colored by taking advantage of the fun of overlapping colors freehand like watercolor painting.”[1]

    “Based on the colors of the national flag, the carpet pattern that is indispensable to the history of Armenia, the grapes that mean winemaking boasting thousands of years of history, the sacred fruit pomegranate, the mountains that are considered to be the home of the heart, the stone symphony It is a heavy work that is hand-woven by skillfully weaving such things into the Hakata-ori tribute pattern.” [1]
